I know this is a fantasy game, but I do find it a bit disrespectful that a few deceased riders are still in the database and actively riding.
Not too happy about Ricco being one of the best riders either, but I can understand the reasoning behind it.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Well, you also can see it as the memorial of the deceased riders, apreciation of what they have done in their careers.

The ManGame world is a perfect one. No political tensions, no one dies, only what we invent happens. And from a gaming point of view it would be quite unlucky if your rider happens to die. It's sad it happens (so often) in real live, but we keep it out of the game.

There are circumstances where we can change that though. For example:
Cadbury signed Burry Stander (who died 2013/01/03) after a bidding war with me. After I realised they were going to disband, I asked SN to remove him from the db. But instead of removing the entire rider, I just suggested changing his name to Jacques Janse van Rensburg, who happened to be completely underrated and had basically the same skillset as Stander.

About the deceased still riding: I like it. Their memory and potential can live on in this game.
About Ricco - He was considered a huge talent before he was caught and so when the DB was made he was given those stats. No one can predict what a rider who is obviously on drugs would be like without them and so the drugged results are all we have. Many of the best riders in the game have been done for one thing or another. Here we can just pretend they really were just this good.

There are two riders named Michal Habera. Or to be more clear and right one of them has even the wrong name in DB, he is called Michal 'Habrera' (ID 750). That rider should be deleted.
Oh and rider with ID 1108 could be possibly renamed from 'Boroš' to Boros. All other Czechs or Slovakians in-game are named without using letters like 'ě, š, č, ř, ž and others'.
And my rider Michal Kolar should be named 'Michael Kolar', but probably we won't be changing names of already existing riders, especially in existing teams.

Might be a bit late, but free agent Robinson Chalapaud (rider # 5859) is probably deserving of a fair stat bump given his consistent top 20 GC positions in major races over past few seasons:
https://www.procyclingstats.com/rider....eason=2013
Additionally, these might already have been highlighted, but I have come across a few dopplegangers in the database worth correcting before the final post-renewals release:
#5205 Gaspar = #7283 Gaspar
#1844 Affonso = # 5193 Affonso
#920 Guama de la Cruz = #130 Guama de la Cruz
Sure it would please all Latin American teams if the slightly improved versions were retained (listed first above in each case).

This is why I should wait before maxing talents out.
Any quick way to find the new riders? |

I could think of a way, but I'm not going to say it
It's probably less than 15 riders changed/added, so nothing too substantial!

Am I correct in assuming that this is still a pre-Renewals database, or does the update include renewals??
Thanks!

Still pre-renewals. As it stands, 50/54 teams have finished renewals. (52/54 have started it)

I don't think there will be a post-renewals until every single manager is done. It wouldn't make sense.

Renewals are still going so there won't be any updates in the DB for now, if all teams are finished with their renewals there will be of course an after renewals DB

It's the famous Groenewegen!
And maybe in the case of Paul Healion, who died in a car crash a few years ago, he could be replaced by Cormac Clarke, possibly with an experience reset too?
