Hope Hernandez can survive the cobbles, then he can go for an outstanding result in the mountains. Erviti should also be able to do well, as a back-up

It is fantastic. (Hope everyone checks it out)
And with good reason, Sutton is the fastest sprinter here and in each TOTC each edition the fastest sprinter has always won a stage.
We have some great looking previews up already by sutty68, Cycleman123 and Shonak. Not forgetting a very fascist presentation from duxili!!!
It will be interesting if mvhoogdalem or Ollfardh write in their presentation that they aim to be top of the lifetime UC rankings after this edition.
It will also be interesting to see if anyone gets a lower score than welker3257 (43 UC points) in this edition, but I doubt it. |

A few heads will be turned as T-Mobile Deutsche Post rider Adam Hansen has been given the no.1 shirt, the lowest final position the no.1 shirt has finished in the TOTC has been 5th (Millar:TOTC3).
This is probably the last time I will post in this thread.
Remember:
-- the 5 bonus UC points on offer at the end of every stage report
-- the racing will start tomorrow or Saturday.

Bluebell Creameries is the obvious favourite, though Petro China is good as well. Should be an interesting race!
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

It would be great if 1/2 more people could post once in the Story games thread (Even if you already have) so I can start the first race report on page 1. |

With TOTC4 just completed we arguably had the most entertaining, open and exciting TOTC yet.
At the moment I would be happy to leave it there as I am fresh out of ideas. But if some really good ideas come up for future TOTCs I wouldn't mind doing another one.
So post your ideas here........ |

The Rider, you done a great work with those TOTC. And I think there are many left that you can do .
DB Comic it's not a bad idea .
If you want to stay in the classic riders line, I would suggest a Tour with all the one-day races from the UCI calendar : 5 Monuments + 10 one-day races + 3 WC (RR, ITT and TTT) + 3 stages to be determined (3 mountain stages or no mountain stage). Being without mountain stage will keep the suspense until the end.

@LLDS
I thought about doing a DB Comics one myself(with my heavily edited .cdb which makes the stats a bit better) earlier, but have dropped the idea for now
And your last idea sounds good to me, but there should be mountain stages as well to me, that balances it out, I mean, look at this TOTC:
If there were no mountains, Ghyselinck would have held on to his jersey and would've been for 17 days or so in his leaders jersey.

How about we all make a suggestion, and The Rider decides which one he likes best?
Here's mine:
Full Database with draft
1) Prologue (preferably downhill, or maybe cobbled)
2) Vattenfall classic
3) Hilly TTT of a +40km distance
4) Scheldeprijs
5) Gent-Wevelgem
6) Amstel Gold Race
7) Volta Limburg
8) Flat TT +40km distance
9) Milan - San Remo
10) Lombardia
11) Stelvio stage
12) Clasica Almeria
13) Clasica San Sebastian
14) Angliru stage
15) Liege-Bastogne-Liege
16) Ronde Van Vlaanderen
17) Paris-Tours
18) Paris-Roubaix
19) Paris-Nice TT
20) Alpe d'Huez
21) Champ Elysees
EDIT: I'd love to push it to 28 race days as well, but dunno if that is possible

Thanks Ollfardh, but... if you just include the one day races there will be no intermediate sprints on offer.
Also, I don't want more stage recommendations. I need:
--- methods for drafting riders
--- selection criteria for riders
-- A way to reward people who see every report not just the 'end of show' people who turn up at the end. |
