You shouldn't have said that
I'm going to change my sprint strategy. Building a Sky train does not seem to work. Last stage I had the perfect train with Eisel, Hagen and Sutton. Just before the finish they were past by everybody. Including Thomas which I placed at the back of another sprint train on follow. Not the best strategy to win, but a lot better than I'm doing now... |

With 4 guys in the top 14 the Sky team scored quite a lot of superprestige points, even without showing a lot of good results in any of the stages. The riders now are moving to Belgium where the cobble season start. In the meantime Wiggins, Froome, Porte, Knees, Dombrowski, Kiryienka, Cataldo and Kennaugh arrived in Oman. The Tour of Oman will not be an easy race as Contador and Rodriguez also appear at the start...

There is not much else what you can expect from this group in a flat stage. The next stage will be much more interesting with a difficult climb right before the finish. Hopefully the Sky riders can surprise the sprinters... |

A climb before the finish? That's something Colombians like! Unfortunately you didn't bring any, though |

Froome had marked today's race in his agenda and attacked on the last mountain of today, which was located only a few kilometers before the finish. A stage win would have been the ultimate goal, but to do this Froom had to loose the Orica Greenedge riders. Goss already showed his form in the Tour of Qatar and also at the Tour of Oman he is in excellent shape, just like the squad build around him. They closed the gap on Froom and took first and second position at the finish. Froome held on and managed to get to the podium, which is an awesome result for the Sky Team, as Froome is now 8 seconds in front of all other favourites for the final victory of the Tour of Oman. Now it is key not to lose time in stage 3 and 6 and to finish the job in stage 4 and 5...
