Personality: Kristjan was a little boy with a great passion for cycling. Once he dreamt he won the Giro (  ), and he wanted to make this dream come true, so he bought himself a race bike at the ripe age of 9. He started cycling 20km rides on the Croatian hills, but then he discovered something: he liked going offroad even more! That's why he joined the local cyclo-crossing club. He was very talented and won a lot of races, which doesn't say too much honestly, because there were only about 100 cyclo-crossers of his age in the country. After a while Kristjan started thinking about the dream he had when he was young. He immediately stopped with cyclo-cross and started training in the Croatian hills again. That's why, when he joined an amateur team, he turned out to be a decent climber/puncheur. Two other of his most important characteristics are riding the cobbles (which is not very common for a climber/puncheur) and downhilling. These two characteristics are obviously indicating to his cyclo-cross past. When Kristjan heard about a new cycling project, he signed in on their website. The new project would ask every contestant to post some of their most important results, and their wattages. That way, the team could find the best undiscovered cyclists from all over the world. The team was impressed by Kristjan's application, and signed him.
