Contador wins the mass sprint!

Cyanide has closed my account, and they haven´´t even send me an explanation by mail. I have been writing about 6 critical post but with no stupid words like the f word and so on, and I have been asking the same question with no response about 15 times, and mailed Freie and Clement Pingel private with the question. This is it for me, I wont by another of these games, and i have been a loyal customer since the first game, havn´t missed one of them.

I've read about this behaviour on a couple of different forums and it seems like an all time low for Cyanide.

Obviously the Cyanide guys have vacation up to 20th of August.
So don`t expect answers in the next week.

But unfortunatly it won`t probably change after it.

Keep this discussion on official forums - https://www.cyanid...p;start=20

The more complains up there, the better chance they won't delete and ignore it.

PS: Of course we know they WILL ignore it, but let's just pretend we have some hopes. And annoy them a bit.

The more post in one thread the faster they will delete it probably Grin
But you are right, I have 2 or 3 posts there, too.
It`s just necessary to ask "friendly" for it otherwise they have a reason to delete it even if you can understand those posts.

There is no reason to delete a game related thread.
I don't care if they lock threads or block a person, as long as it corresponds with the forum rules.

But it cannot be accepted that they start deleting game related posts or threads. I have decided not to update my tools on their forum. There are enough other forums around, where no threads will be deleted.

roturn
I agree with you, I also don`t post my stages there. But if you annoy them too much they will probably delete the threads even if this is not right.

It annoys me know as well
Not too bad on the simulation mode, but play a stage and the sprinters are rubbish

eg.
Just played the stage 11 in the TDF
and the results were as follows:
Top 5: Evans, Valverde, Contador, A Schleck, Sanchez
Sprinters: EBH (11th), Freire (15th), McEwen (17th), Cav (27th), Greipel (101st - low because he was in a trailing group for most of the stage), Farrar (22nd)

This is a sprinters stage

edit: this is a standalone TDF stage race, so no problems with the fitness

I played some stages on the really flat Oman Tour. It looked like the AI riders tried to build a sprint train, but the lead out man was not able to keep up the speed until the finish line as he could in PCM09. So the sprinters left the wheel of the lead out and went back into the peloton.

Maybe it is because the riders aren't fit that early in the year. Or maybe the speed of the short relay is just to fast, but to mee it looks like the short relay AI riders can go way faster without loosing any yellow as other riders, AI or mine.

I think that is a very vice decision. I suggest that you do as I, join the PPDB forum and help the one and only Plakker with his databases.

If it weren't for Plakker's databases and Talleyrand's extremely motivating stories, I would probably had thrown my PCM in the garbage years ago.

That is a very nice thing to say, E_Hagen. Thanks.
Cyanide's attitude is amazing and in fact typical for a marketeer with a monopoly position: They despise their customers, especially the non-French ones. And they bring honour to the name of their own company.

The PCM2010 situation implies that the Colombian heroes will certainly continue their PCM2009 attempts to stay in the ProTour Wink

Talleyrand, you're smart enough to know it's nothing to do with being French or not, it's to do with speaking French or not (and as you do know that's not only French people who can speak French).
Really, years go by and your anti-French comments remain. Such stupid amalgams from such an intelligent person, Napoleon's famous quote always suits you so well.

What Cyanide do is certainly not correct, but it's very logical. Nowadays their game sells well enough, so that they don't have (from an economical and marketing viewpoint) to take care of bugs, at least not too seriously or deeply. Fix the easiest ones (those mentioned by the French speaking community) and that's it. Get the most annoying customers to shut up, and let the game sell better and better every year.
Imagine yourself in their shoes, why would you change anything ? Remember : "business is business".

Actually, if people don't manage to not buy a game that's likely to be full of flaws, they're guilty too, in a way.

All that Cyanide deserves, is both a serious enough boycott that'd harm their incomes significantly, and a bigger concurrent, that could produce a better game than PCM on the short term.

None of those two things is likely to happen any time soon though. So, do like me, stop playing until everything is fixed. If that means I've stopped playing PCM forever, so be it.

Talleyrand
If you know anything at all about the history of your own country you would know that a Dutch person who chooses the nick Talleyrand is not anti-French.
But a person named Napoleon was of course profoundly anti-French and brought the country to ruins with ultimately Russian troops marching on the Champs Élysées..
Buonaparte's judgement about C.M. de Talleyrand should therefore be judged in the proper perspective. It's a pity you lack this insight, Aquarius. Your country deserves much better than that.

I think a company that markets a game globally can never hide itself behind being French speaking. I find that a ridiculous excuse.

In fact I find all your excuses to explain Cyanide's behaviour completely invalid.
But I gladly leave it to all the forum members here to agree or disagree with you or me.

Well, I think it is just you, Aquarius, who think that the French are the best in the world and the french should only interact with the french and all other people are idiots and blablabla.... Rolling Eyes

Seriously, there is probably no person in the world with as much insight in the PCM series as Mr. Talleyrand.

I'm with Talleyrand on this one. A company can't hide behind a language barrier and be picky in addressing the community that is the live-line of the game. Keep in mind that without a proper database with all the rider-names, equipment etc, the game wouldn't be bought by anyone.

Most of the buyers know that with a few downloads the game can become playable, if the basic (engine) is good.

And that is just was Cyanide has screwed-up this year. Fact of the matter is that the if they would have just build a new 3d engine (which is the only good thing about PCM2010) an used the AI from 2009, than all of us here would have been much happier.

Instead they messed-up big-time. Hilly IA is dreadful, Cobbled races are ruined (40 riders sprint in Paris-Roubaix) ... and to what end?

I think they will put the AI from PCM2009 toss it in the PCM2010 with the good 3d and call it PCM2011... asking price will be €44,95... well that's pretty decent behavior for certain people, but in my book it just plain robbery...

I have bought every version of this game up till now... but I think I will acquire the PCM2011 game in a alternative way... because if you look at it properly, its just a late patch for PCM2010.
