It takes a special kind of mind to understand my fascination with the Department of Redundancy Department. Pedro has such a mind.
Which is something he should be crying about

Details on the investigation will be released during the Giro.
Since Ballan and Santambrogio are suspended pending the end of the investigation, that means they won't be helping Cadel at the Giro.
At this rate Cadel's going to be dialing 1-800-domestique

Speaking of hiring, Luxembourg investors have been having meetings with BMC. According to local media, their intention is to sponsor the team and fund the signing of the Schleck brothers for next season.

Thats the most tragic way to die for a cyclist imo.
Jorge Alvarado RIP
Too bad about Ballan suffering thru this. Unless he's actually a doper then its all taken back.

According to De Telegraaf, Rabobank is talking to Matti Breschel. They want to sign him next year, they have been following Breschel since 2008 and really want him on the team.
They need a new cobble leader... it's clear Nuyens and Langeveld will stay sub top and never actually win (like Flecha), and Boom needs some more time..
If they have Breschel for the next 2 seasons, he can fill up the gap |

... and Breschel previously said that he'd consider offers from teams where he'd be the team leader. |

Surely this is a good move for Breschel? Even if Riis finds new sponsors, he'll never be top dog within that team - assuming Cancellara and the Schlecks stick around |

How hilarious it would be if he got a sponsor and still none of them stuck around
(although Cancellara does have an extra year on his contract)

Translation: our sponsors are still deciding whether they'll renew and we need results.

Breschel to Rabobank would be a good move I think, but I don't think Breschel wants to go to Rabobank. |

It's crazy that Ballan is going to miss P-R, and that Spanish guy who has actually been banned for doping is maybe about to win a big race in Spain and let's not even talk about the likely winner of P-R. |

And they recently lost some of their cobbles guys. So this would be a good move to get "one" back.

In 2011, there will be two Pro Tour races in Astana and Almaty (Kazakhstan) according to a french website.
https://www.cyclis...-5612.html
The sponsor of Astana, Samruk-Kazyna: "we hope that within two-three years, the regular Pro-Tour will be held in the Motherland of the “Astana” team - the Republic of Kazakhstan." |

Globalisation.
Could be exciting, now if they'd just hold a Pro Tour race in Colombia... I would be over the moon |
