Pidcock hasn't really performed as well as we know he can in the hills. Filling in for Areruya again here, hoping for a great result

Not enough race days for Champoussin to try to repeat last year's podium, but we do have Formolo to keep the flag high.

This is far from a Lopez route imo and last year was underwhelming as well. Still, hilly and him on the startlist raises hope

Seeing Meurisse or Calmejane on the podium here means there's some hope APP could also do well. He could also finish in 20th, so thrilled how the race will unfold.

Hopefully the startlist is strong enough that Hirschi doesn't have to burn himself out and can get a strong result here.

Probably too long for Aranburu to have success here, we'll just see what happens! Thanks for the preview!

First race for Romo as our clear leader. Hopeful for a top 10, which would be a very good result. Hoping his good stamina benefits him, eventhough his acceleration is an obvious weakness. Fingers crossed we get to see him in the mix and action, whatever the result is in the end! |

Strong startlist for our 2nd goal race of the year. Stannard hasn't been stellar in one day races, but we need him to at least keep up with Hirschi here in our anti-relegation campainha.
Thanks for the preview Laurens!

Experimenting with what works for Sosa this year. Hallstat and Milan - Torino both worked pretty well. He will be fighting with Simmons for these races next year so pay attention Ivan.

I’d like to see Kelderman have a good race here! He definitely has shown he can!
Good luck everyone. Thank for the preview!

Ouch... It's not just the lack of stamina that hurts Schmid this year - I think the lack of race intelligence is much worse. Looks like he got a double-downgrade... Really hurts to see him drop from a good rider who can win in PTHC to a pretty useless money sink...
At least Hirschi did really well here, very important points for sammy!

Hirschi is having another really strong end to his season, looks like he really wants us to stay up.
Congrats Roturn on the win.

Fine enough race for Pidcock, sure he'd have loved to be up the road challenging Mauri for the win but when the top guys make it a true puncheur's classic he just isn't on that level and fair enough. It made for a very entertaining race, one of the better ones this season in the hilly classics by my recollection. Thanks for delivering that through the report Imladrik and congrats roturn on the win and also sammy for a big race for you!
Decent depth with Dzhus and Tesfaye Hashimoto, don't always see that from us in the punchy classics. Maybe Pidcock is a less exacting leader than Areruya

So maybe Simmons next year. No really, Sosa wasn't bad, didn't have a lot of protection. Amezawa proved a race like this could suit him on a good day.
Congrats to Roturn and thanks for the report.

Very nice race for Aranburu actually. Just when I think I'm out, he pulls me back in. Didn't think he had a shot given the race length, but he actually stayed in a solid position without expending too much, and managed to get a very nice 8th place out of it.
Depth was great too. Gregaard in 21st with another great performance for his stats. He always overperforms in these long hilly classics thanks to his stamina, though Aranburu proved stamina in not definitive. Hellemose and Gogl also in the top 50 makes this a pretty great race for us compared to expectations.
What a crazy ride by Trakhov, must have been fun for Tinkoff even if he ends up outside the top 5 in the end.
Thanks for the report and congrats to roturn!
