I could have sworn it was called Great Ocean Road Race and not Great Ocean Road Classic (GORC). Nevertheless, the race has a long history in the ManGame and marks the end of January, which means we will soon have the first ranking updates.
Last year Lewis Askey took a suprise win from the breakaway, while Salim Kemboi won the bunch sprint. Even though I have put the sprinters as favorites, it seems that the parcours is well-suited for the more aggresive riders.

As a manager with no top sprinter, am I allowed to say that the season start with all these flat races are boring?
Rooting for Zabel as usual!

Same team here as in Down Under Classic. Hopefully we can improve on the 8th place!

Dusan's first chance to convince us he can be the lead sprinter in the team

Hope Dusan (the other one not even mentioned in the preview) can repeat his DUC performance. Otherwise a late attack from our rouleurs would also work for me

Decided to leave Adomaitis out of this. After Juarez I feel that was the right decision already. I'd love to see our rouleurs light up the race, but I guess after last week that would be really pushing our luck.
Good luck everyone!

Hopefully we can get a top 10 here with Einhorn, or get someone in the break if it stays away.

Van Poppel goes wheel jumping here hoping for a top 10. With the way the race has gone over the past few years we also have a few decent options with Medvedev and Kaspa for a potential late attack!

Fingers crossed for a Bol top 10 but I don't think we have a good enough leadout to position him.

Hoping this one comes down to a sprint and we can use the set-up we have of Hesters, Thijssen, and Jakobsen effectively. Fingers crossed!

Coquard is immense! Happy to secure another podium for Dainese. Decent January for him despite no wins. A little break for him now as we prepare to take on the cobbles!
Thanks for the report!

Given the people who finished ahead of Dusan K., twelfth seems about right. Thanks for the report Imladrik and congrats Jakstar!

Yikes. I thought that with his good flat and decent secondaries the harder sprint classics would suit Riabushenko. If he isn't going to bother even trying could we a least be in the break?

Thanks to Imladrik for the report and congrats to Jakstar for the win.
Big sighs of relief in the Kraftwerk camp after Bol was beaten by his leadout in his last sprint. This time he managed to position himself well and overperform for a 9th place.
Also good to see he had company when the earlier split happened.
Things are looking up.
