The 2nd PCT Ranking has all of February plus the already raced March races including Colombia. So obviously huge changes after the January Rankings.
So it will be interesting to see if some of the "just" promoted teams only had a fantastic January or remain at the top of the rankings such as Swisslion or Delvaux.
No less than 19 potential races took place in this period, so making it division per division might be good for a better overview.
Let`s start with the big points, which is PTHC, which means Vuelta a Pais Vasco, Barbados Cycling Festival and the two classics Omloop and Hallstatt. So for all terrains really.
Two teams did fight for the top spot in this ranking and in the end the biggest individual point score is enough for Swisslion to take it. 355 points in Pais Vasco mainly with their new star Beltran, who is a hot prospect for the individual crown as well so far. A big step to defend their January top position.
Kraftwerk comes just short by 6 points, but needed 3 PTHC races with solid scored in Barbados as well with Cavendish while Pais Vasco saw no real top scorer but a very deep score throughout the full team!
Volvo with Ahlstrand`s points in Barbados coming next with some gap already while Kinoshita delivered in Pais Vasco for Rakuten.
Campari, Iberia and Popo4ever following all with solid 200+ scorings. Only Xero with a 0 pointer here, though the teams just ahead aren`t much better really.

Next up the HC races, which are Middle East, Slovenie and Colombia. So just stage races and rather challenging ones for puncheurs and even more climbers.
To be honest, really hard not to win this ranking if your star takes two GC wins! Pluchkin did so in Colombia and Middle East and is up to challenge Beltran for the individual ranking, which was expected really. The only reason, they only take the HC ranking by 1 single point, is the strong triple by ISA - Hexacta, which saw a huge performance by Sepulveda in Slovenie alongside Berhane in Middle East and Colombia.
Rakuten to follow ahead of Berg and Volvo, which all three had a solid 2 performances but already quite a gap to the top2.
At the bottom Sauber really struggling to score this season in general and also Swisslion despite participating in all 3 events, which obviously sees them lose their advantage in the rankings.

7 C1 events of which 4 are stage races and 3 classics. Quite some cobbles, which favours some teams but also some sprinter, puncheur and climber days.
Campari takes the most points having scored in all but Catalunya with big points in Southland and De Panne. Ferreira really having some top rides on the paves this season proving to become a great catch while Pichon showed his skills in Southland.
The Minions and Volvo both follow with 300+ scorings as well. Lots are coming from Southland, where Claeys and Stallaert/Jensen performed well but also Catalunya (Uran) and Le Samyn (Stallaert) were top races.
Delvaux in 4th with lots of depth performances without the big top result while Andorra had a great run on the cobbles, which was expected with Summerhill really.
At the bottom Europcar with a zero pointer and again Sauber with small points only.

Not all teams had C2 races and/or did not score in those.
UBS with a good Hong Kong race with Abreu/Schir topping this small ranking while a special mention must go to Carlsberg finally winning their home race with Niki Ostergard.
Sauber with 37 points might show, that the team is not yet ready for the PCT when their main scoring is coming from CT races.
| | | Total | Her | Via | Gis | HKG | Jua | | 1 | | Team UBS | 68 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 68 | 0 | | 2 | | Carlsberg - Danske Bank | 65 | 45 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 20 | | 3 | | Sauber Petronas Racing | 37 | 2 | 35 | 0 | 0 | 0 | | 4 | | Rakuten Pro Cycling | 34 | 0 | 19 | 15 | 0 | 0 | | 5 | | Delvaux | 27 | 0 | 20 | 7 | 0 | 0 | | 6 | | ENI - MOL | 24 | 0 | 0 | 24 | 0 | 0 | | 7 | | Kulczyk - Alitalia | 22 | 22 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | | 8 | | Iberia - Team Degenkolb | 21 | 21 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | | 9 | | Lierse SK - Pizza Ullo PCTeam | 19 | 13 | 6 | 0 | 0 | 0 | | 10 | | cycleYorkshire | 16 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 16 | | 11 | | Swisslion Cycling Team | 11 | 0 | 0 | 11 | 0 | 0 | | 12 | | ISA - Hexacta | 3 | 3 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 |
In total Swisslion was not able to remain in the lead, which is down to their subpar HC events. They were still great though and are up there in 2nd just behind Campari, who is getting some gap even. They really show up in the big events so far, which obviously is key for high scoring.
Volvo from 21st to 3rd with a huge jump performing in sprints, climbs and hills, while also ISA, Popo4ever and Kraftwerk move towards the promotion area. Pluchkin obviously is limited in race days but as long as he goes on using them that well, the team is on a good way but scoring is surely needed by the others a lot more.
Delvaux drops down a bit to 7th but still looking good while UBS, Iberia, Rakuten, Berg and Duolingo all not yet ready for another PT season so far.
At the bottom Sauber with only 122 points so far really not having a good start into the season. All others can still hope as the gaps aren`t that big but Europcar, Xero, Carrefour and cycleyorkshire are in huge danger to relegate. Same goes for Philips and Carlsberg just above the line before a bit more of a gap comes to Lierse.

Individually Beltran remains in the lead continueing to perform well. Same goes for Tenorio, Degenkolb, Martin, Uran, Guarnieri, Gautier or Amador, who all are having consistent seasons so far.
Degenkolb maybe still less than expected but he is getting some tough competition so far.
New in the top area is Pluchkin, who started the season with 3 excellent races! Same with Ahlstrand, who might become the best PCT sprinter this year not far behind Degenkolb and also Cavendish is having a solid year so far up to 9th.
Cobble wise Ferreira being the best at the moment ahead of Vanspeybrouck and Summerhill, all in the 14-19 spots. Quite a surprise.

Well, we've gone up but nothing to be happy about yet. Van Asbroeck at 15 points is not what we wanted.
Beltran keeps delivering for Swisslion, really happy for them. As always, thanks for the update!
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Wow, I had a dream we'd be 3rd to last! And that's about all the humour I can draw from these rankings. Oh dear...
24/02/21 - kandesbunzler said “I don't drink famous people."
15/08/22 - SotD said "Your [jandal's] humour is overrated"
11/06/24 - knockout said "Winning is fine I guess. Truth be told this felt completely unimportant."

Wow, still in 2nd place despite wetting the bed in ToME and in our home in Slovenia
Beltran living up to the massive million wage
But unfortunately it's gonna be a long while before he gets a big block of racing like he had now. Ciolek has been doing a nice job as his sidekick, but he'll need to keep it up and others to add some pts as well.
Anyhow I expect a big drop in the coming months, so I hope our buffer lasts until Beltran comes back to save the day again
Congrats to Campari the most consistent team so far and thanks for the update Roturn

Well I am quite happy with this update! Despite having some disapointing races, Machado and Dowsett have failed but Machado has been keeping the points stream constant providing that secondary focus as I wanted. Dowsett on the other side is completely failing everything, but Kireva/Zordan's points have somewhat made up for it so far.
Summerhill didn't have the perfect starting run but he took a couple of wins and is performing as expected, so if it's possible to keep this up staying in PCT looks very possible, there's quite a good buffer already for this time of year.

thanks for the great detailed update
This is a dream result for us, I am quite convinced other teams are stronger in the long run and we will not be able to keep producing points like this. Especially at hilly and cobbled races, but banking this good early season will surely be nice later on.

Thanks for the update, Roturn!
Surprised to still see us in the top 10, actually, as I feel we've had a lot of races lately where the course has not been very favorable to our setup and very few races where we've outperformed our expectations. Not sure how we're looking on PpRD, though. It could well be that we've spent more race days than the average team so far.
Quite happy with Guarnieri so far, and Hermans, Gallopin and Breen have done well to rack up some points here and there. Hope to see a bit more from Ignatiev and Schreurs in the time ahead, however.
Really nice to see Campari and Swisslion at the top as newly promoted teams! Ferreira especially has really surprised this year.

Honestly. I thought we were doing a little better. We seem to be at least involved in every race. I guess I'll chalk that up to not having enough of a grasp on how rankings points are calculated. I keep forgetting that stage placings are basically worthless, as is the C2 win.
But hey, we're above the line. That's all I want this year, so I can't complain. Hopefully we stay there.
Edit: Also, I have to say, it always astounds me how most people have riders that are so much better than mine, and score so consistently compared to mine. Like, I know they're better, but it's weird how sometimes results seems so random, yet certain guys are always ahead.

By the way, is there a point per raceday ranking as well? Those tend to say a lot more.

As with amateurs, those are not yet in the new ranking file.
Was starting to work on those but not yet done fully. |

Got to laugh at ISA Hexacta scoring more in each of their 3 HC races than we have done in total so far.
the development of our youngsters is going well, but hopefully when Slagter starts racing properly and gets off 0 points he can start providing us some highlights.

And the death of Jerome Coppel will lead us back down to the CT i guess
Tough seeing these standings knowing we've also used a solid amount of race days... Hopefully between Nolf, Chammorro and Coppel we can stir up some magic at some point (Nolf already kind of doing so) to help us stay up |

I had a feeling we had quite a good month even with our disaster in KBC where we only took 13 pts?!?! And also Stallaert did not what we expect from him in Omloop with 14th place even with does bad result we take a very huge step up in the rankings and are where we hope to be when the season is over aswell
We got a nice bunch of points from Columbia where we expected not much at all!
Thanks for the update! Watch out tamijo we are hunting you |

Top 4 in all categories except C1 which I think we only rode 1 race of compared to most rider 3 or 4 so I think we will look better later. Also Kinoshita's barely raced so far, and Shikai hasn't ridden an Mountain Stage races yet I think as well, so my big scorers are still heating up.
Overall Im not too worried, and think we will (hopefully) only move up as the season goes on. Usually my team has slow starts so this is really decent.

Gaining in the rankings but want to be higher ideally. Uran has spent some racedays as well and his individual ranking is a bit deceiving. The quest for promotion will lie with Claeys which is ironic since he'll likely be of no use in some races with this AI.
Thanks for the update

hmmmm... I know we haven't been impressive but wow
Meintjes has only raced one race so far and most of these races we've already done we've relied on Bellis (not done bad at all), Enger (terrible), Koren and the cobbles unit... There should be a lot more points coming soon I hope
PPRD would tell us a lot more which would show we havent used as much as the div average I hope, or else we are in big trouble, thanks for the update!

NOTE THIS IS NOT AN OFFICIAL RESULT; JUST MY OWN INTEREST IN THE SITUATION versus USED RACE DAYS.
The system is very simple just points versus invested number of race days.
(a race of 5 days with 8 riders cost 40 days – 1 day races cost 2 days)

Thanks for the update roturn.
Kraftwerk need to be doing well in the early months to give us some sliding room.
Our sprinters have been overperforming and our attempt to recruit more scoring depth looks to have paid off Pais Vasco saw no real top scorer but a very deep score throughout the full team
Hoping Nerz can improve a bit and Flugel overcomes his lack of mountains in upcoming races.
Will be interesting to see how Daniel Teklehaimanot gets on in his only leadership role at the Tour of California.
