His name popped up into my mind for a completely unrelated reason for the first time in months today. a few seconds later I logged onto this site and read that. talk about coincidence...

That seems right to me.
But despite the 1000 more members - and more visiting members than ever before (last time I checked, at least) - we've had a relatively !quiet" month on the forum |

I've said this before but this site is really growing. Even though I was like the 4053rd member I never started posting until January. Now look where I am. How many members are there that have posted more than 100.

Well, yes, the site is growing, but much of it is thanks to the downloads section and the fact that you need to register to download anything. The reason for this is that when a guy has fitst registered and spent time creating an account he's more likely to use it again at some point compared to if he had not needed to create an account.
I know that from personal experiences. I'm following comments on a lot of different sites, but I can't really be bothered to make a comment myself, because it requires that I create an account. But when that's done - account has been created - I become active.
Of course, there's also a bunch of French, Dutch, German, etc. members who only come here to download 1 thing and then never come back - but that's life. |

I only signed up for downloading the PCM spain db. Never looked at the forum till december. Never posted till January. So I think It's good to make people register.

True:
Active users the past 7 days: 1414
But it's still fine for a lot of reasons - but let's save this for later. |

An over 10% activity rate is a lot better than I thought. That's actually surprisingly good

Does activity count posts, or just deciding to type the url into the box to see if there are any new updates? |
