Normally you shouldn't be able to create anything steeper than 25% because the editor will crash. You'll have to adjust the slopes to make that stages work.

2. What for do you need such steep sections. Most climbs aren`t that steep.
Plus the game seems to handle lower percentages better than those 20+%.
If you go too high, the route will fail anyway. Not sure what exactly is the maximum.
1. I usually add lakes and rivers at first including bridges etc. Then fields before forests. Always by comparing to real life maps. |

I´m Currently Working on a Project for the Womendatabase of PCMFocus,
Women´s Tour Of New Zealand

isn't made that good at openrunner,
the GPX is too big for Stage Editor,
which means some TT needs to be gone, and some stages needs to be smaller

this will be an stage making project where everyone can introduce
an random height map which i will make an stage for. this will be a great
way to get new stages and a funny way to research about this. everyone
with any height map just post it here or post the link and i will try to make
something for it which will be a great stage. you can also say some specific
things that needs to be in it (for example minimum of 3 cities). i need to say that all sorts of heightmaps are allowed, if they are real of fantasy just say it, and please mention a name for the race so i can name the route to a specific place to place (for example Paris - Roubaix)
Random Height Map 1: (Name needs to be chosen yet)
the deep lines you can see are already made for the rivers,
and a small lake at the left side. this one will be a great one with
some bridges in it and some cities. it will be a great one which
will include some climbs because the relief is hilly / mountains
