Adding a nation's championship?
Dax
Is this possible? I'd also add a race for it.
I remember reading somewhere that it wasn't, though. Sad

If that's the case, any chance of being able to replace an existing one, at least? I would take off one of the less represented nations and would replace it with Japan, since I have various japanese riders got from scouts.
Yes, of course I would re-do the NT shirt then.
I know how to use Lachi's Editor but not sure at what table I should look...

Edit STA_Race and STA_Stage as you find written into the tip written by lluuiiggii: https://pcmdaily.c...p?tipid=50

But do it as a national championship, so the columns should be filled like the other NCs etc..

thanks for the link, however that guide is actually really old and there are a lot of completely different fields it seems but yeah, I tried to "mimic" the other championships, yet to test it.
I also did not understand where I can set what the jersey is like, there wasn't any field about that... hmm.. I'd like the winning rider to ride with a custom jersey (which is ready in 3D\Cyclists\Cloth\Country )but since I didn't set this up anywhere I'm not sure what's going to happen to the winner, lol

Some fields were quite a mystery like
gene_i_computed_date in STA_stage

I copied there " 1435579200 " and made sure my race happened on the 29/6 like the other championship whose data I copied

also, I think I need to do something in STA_country actually, as Japan's fkIDnational_team is currently 0 while others have a number (that I don't know where else is referenced), is this ok?

Lachi
gene_i_computed_date hold the unix timestamp, you can ask google how to convert it but as far as I know, this column will be calculated by the game, so it does not matter.

fkIDnational_team is for the world championship, don't worry about that.

To find what to put in gene_i_computed_date:

https://www.onlineconversion.com/unix_...x_time.htm

Use the second converter and put the actual date, he will convert it to an Unix one.

hmm, there's something strange though. For example, if I put only "29" in day and "6" in month it gives me -2193523200
but there are no negative numbers in the editor.
If I add "2015" - the year of the game I'm in, it's positive but the number is completely different than the other tracks. Just to be clear, all the other NC races on the same day share the same gene_i_computed_date which is why I just copy pasted it.
However, if the game calculates it then that's even better.

Anything about the Champion's jersey? I'm just not sure how to reference it\where

Use 2014 as year. The other races are set for 2014 too Wink

After checking out if any names correspond with the suffix of the national jersey of the country, I only found one thing in the database, which is the filename of the stage files.

For example for the Netherlands (yes I'm Dutch Pfft) the filename is "nat-ned" and the suffix for the national jersey is "ned". Haven't tested it yet, but it seems worth a try.

As an example. Month x 50 + day. So, for example, of the 7 July. 7 (July) x50 + 7 Day = 357 in gene_i_computerdate. Or the September 30 is 9x50 + 30 = 480. This was important in earlier versions. not any more.

I'm pretty sure lluuiiggii's guide is still up to date, please correct me if I'm wrong

The game only calculates it if you add it before you start a career, if you add it mid career, which I've done for races in the past then you need to convert and input it, using the year your career is in for the time stamp, although it might be added on season turn over anyway but I think it only refreshes existing ones.

Tried, but I get 1404000000 which is still different than what's in the DB. Dunno. But the game is going fine. Problem is that *facepalm* I forgot that I am in august. So I can test this only next year. Or I'll think about making it happen at a weird date but I'll need to be careful with that as I don't have other NCs to use as reference then.

Yeah I guess I could just do it in another DB and test it, but with no copy-paste function in Lachi's editor I'd lose too much time.

thanks a lot for the effort Grin
I didn't really understand what you meant though, sorry. I did put nat-jpn to follow the other NCs but where I'm not sure what this means.
I mean, what should I do so that the game searches for the jersey? As I said, I put a jersey named JPN_maillot_champion.png in 3D\Cyclists\Cloth\Country following the other jerseys.
Is this what you meant? That's where the game should search the shirt, right?

It's what I feared. Just to be clear, sorry if it wasn't clear but I am indeed in the middle of a career, sorry if I had someone misunderstand this.
However, as I said the number that comes out with that tool is always different than the others, so I just copy pasted those...
maybe it's because those were calculated once at the beginning and then they won't change. Still weird that I can't get those numbers even if I put 2014

before making this thread I did found this one :
https://pcmdaily.c...ead_id=979
but, yeah, it's completely from what I see. Stuff like "gene_i_num_ravito" do not appear in my STA_race for example, maybe they're handled by the stage file itself now.
or it could be because I'm editing a career and not a DB which is yet to start?

Anyway, it didn't say anything about the jersey Sad

Why mess around with that field
gene_i_computed_date in STA_stage

I added several races, even a couple of nationals and never put anything in this field.
gene_i_day and gene_i_month I put in the dates for the year.

As far as I understand about jerseys the national jersey is only put on in the World Championship, but then during normal race dates the team has to have a jersey in that folder.
named something like tcs_maillot_den for the danish champion riding for Tinkoff.
That jersey is found in the folder cloth/team/tcs

Adding Japan to ride in the World you have to replace one of the 26 other nations in the table STA_nationals and then fix connections for Japan in the STA_country table.

A picture says more than thousand words perhaps ....

Then the only thing of importance outside this picture is the field fkIDtype_tour in the STA_race, that informs about the type of race. In this case one the CLAS_ selections (CLAS_TTT in case of the national time trial race)

Just to add this thread with a question of my own - is it possible to add National Championships race mid-season? I thought it had to be done in October in game and it will be added when the new season begins.

Can it be added mid-season with the correct time stamp inputted to the db in the editor? Would the startlist need to be manually built as well?

Every race added during the season will not be run (correctly) unless you set up all needed parameters.
If you mean the table DYN_team_race, then yes, you have to add the race there. It might be complicated for NC though, as all teams can participate if they have a rider from that country. I think you have to add each rider manually linked to his team to make it work.
Easiest solution would be to add the race in the DB as well, then start a new career and copy the Information from there to your original career.

Thanks lachi. I might add the NC races into the db, and play them outside the career. That way seems much easier I think, and I just need to adjust the career with the new champion

That's not what I suggested. Can you even play NC in the single race mode?

I knows w that is not what you suggested. I will attempt to add them into the career, but if it gets too complicated / causes issues, I will play them outside of the career.

NCs can be played as a Classics stage in Single Race mode. Found on the races after WC when you go through the choices of the Race Statuses

Oh, right, right, this is exactly what I needed. This is important and I wasn't completely sure about this.
In my game I was using a custom team with my customized shirts, his folder is 2152 and the normal jerseys are called 2152_maillot
so I could try to place it here named 2152_maillot_jpn, let's see if it works next year...

Hopefully it's jpn as it should come from nat-jpn , right?

Wow thanks a lot! For the moment I wasn't too interested in this because I didn't want to complicate matters but I might try to replace one country, it'd be cool.

Thanks, already put that as it was 22 for all the other NCs =)

yeah it's what I was afraid of. My fault for not thinking about this before starting the career.
I'll update this thread once the race comes around next year.
Mostly, I am expecting the game to fail to register all the other team's japanese riders, we'll see if it works.
