Short reasoning/introduction:
Nothing at all like EPIC, which has my full support. I will still take part in EPIC and do some reporting for it. Equally this has no bearing on Karl either. The ethos behind this is, Keep it Simple Keep it Fast. As such this is designed to be simple and fast, with a season estimated to take no longer than 2 months, but more aimed around 1 month. So that's 10-12 seasons per year, and quickly will be well into fantasy realms, well away from EPIC.
Participation is minimal, basic team management and planning is it. No HQ's and no expectation of posts. Just set the team up for the season and watch.
Like the idea, please contribute, don't like the idea equally tell me so.
I have mentioned that this was going to happen to Ollfardh and he's ok with it. Hopefully i can get this up and running before the Part 1 break comes in EPIC, meaning minimal disturbance to the already established game.
And this short intro is turning into a longish intro... So moving onwards...
Rules + Information
Database
Edited 2013DB which is attached. Obviously IAM and EUC are now considered WT.
All Real Riders and Squads, according to the attached DB.
Teams
Spoiler Teams are allocated using a Draft system.
After I confirm your application you will PM me a list of all teams in order of want.
I will then post the results after 21 people have joined and sent me their lists. Or after a period of time if not enough people apply.

Nationals + Worlds
Spoiler At the end of each season a series of National Events will take place.
The winner will of course become national champion for the next season.
Nations with few riders will be grouped into Regional Events.
But each Nation will still have an individual winner.
At the end of each season i will post a list of 10 riders.
These riders are selected by a combination of secret factors.
Anyone, not just managers, can then vote for their Top 3 riders.
1st Vote earns 3pts, 2nd 2pts and 3rd 1pt.
The rider with the highest total becomes World Champion.
ITT and TTT are decided using the Chrono ITT and TTT events
Stat Progression
Spoiler At the end of every season riders can progress and decline in stats.
This is done using a secret, randomish, method.
I will then post an updated DB with the new stats.
Normal potentials will play a role in Progression
Age will play a role in Decline
Money
Spoiler You do not earn money through results.
Your final Team Ranking position earns you money to spend in the Transfer Period.
After a few seasons (once i've fully worked out the system) Money can be used for Scouting
Racing + Reporting

When can we choose a team? Also, nice to see you giving high budget to smaller teams. Though wtf, why does Belkin have that few amount of money?

Ok, that should be everything for now. Please ask questions and point out mistakes, it will be helpful to everyone!
Attached the base DB to the first post. Really recommended you check it out, as i have made a decent attempt to balance the division some what. Fair few changes around, mostly Leaders! So really check it out first!
Please apply, would be great to get a full division. I will take a team, so 20 more people (18 now) would be awesome!

Shouldn't be a problem. Riders are not selected via a draft, just who gets what team to manage. So send me a list of the teams in the order of want.
I don't think this will begin in that week... but it depends on 1)How fast people join, and 2)How busy i am in that week.

Randomly generated Draft order. Every manager sends me a list of all the teams in the order of want. Then i go down the Draft order and allocate the teams.
It is too avoid the first in picking out the best teams. Plus it might stop a Dutchie getting Belkin! Or a Brit getting Sky etc. Adding in that sense of randomness.
Equally do you pick the strong team but less budget. Or the weak team with a big budget... Choices, choices, choices

That's the plan. The only requirement is race planning, which is handily all done on one, pre-made excel file. Transfers and any other interaction are entirely up to you! As long as the race planning gets done for each season i don't even care if you ever comment.

Exactly! And yes Vacansoleil still weak, as is Euskaltel. But they get bigger budgets as a result, so it should balance out a bit.
