Word to the Wise [preface]
Hello and welcome,
Some of you may already know me as a story-writer. I've done a lot of stuff. Some good, mostly bad. As many will know, it's not easy to find the right story to stick with. After a small absence, I'm ready to give it another shot. This time I've got a better computer and a better database. I believe I'm ready to bring you another story. I hope to bring at least weekly updates, but I will move differently from previous stories: slowly in real time (not a lot of updates), but fast in PCM time (updates will cover weeks, sometimes months).
I'm starting out with a slightly different way of reporting. Thanks to feedback I will (hopefully) receive, I will (if necessary) try to change my way of reporting and make it better, so that you can enjoy this story the way I intend.
Thanks & Enjoy!
Ian Butler

Well, well, what's this? I'm going to try and follow it, for sure
Which DB you are using? PCmdaily Realname?

Wow, really glad to see all these responses!
I'll be updating the story fairly soon, later today.
It's another introduction piece, especially on the World Tour (some changes there). I guess the update after that will already see some racing, but that might be days away. I have no intention of rushing myself here. So don't worry if it's radio silence for a few days after today
Jesleyh - Very safe to post I'm using the PCMdaily Realname database released a few weeks ago. Great database! But with some edits, added riders and some races bumped up to WT.
Dippofix - I'm glad you like it! Thanks
admirschleck, ricardo123, krisa, Selwink - Thank you!
TheManxMissile - Well I love The Beatles, love the song and since it's about a Norwegian rider... I'm sick of always starting stories about Belgian guys
fcancellara - Glad you like the title! I'll do my best with the story
Mresuperstar - A compliment from a great writer is always nice, so thanks!
FroomeDog99 - Happy to be back However I fear you'll be disappointed when I say that this team was just for his preface, he signs a new contract for 2013, sorry But I've been playing some PCM without a story and I realized I'm someone who needs a big team to keep up motivation (I need the WT calendar for some reason )
Atlantius - Thank you! Found the inspiration partly at your story! That's why it's Norwegian Wood, and not Belgian Waffle

Hmm, interesting new calendar. Hoped for Ster ZLM
Just an advice, I found the screenshot with the tree annoying, with having to cross a 'gap' while reading a few times

Jeselyh - Ster ZLM was never an option, to be honest But I did look for a Dutch race, but I didn't find a race important enough. (And then realized Eneco Tour is part Dutch anyway)
Fair enough on the tree-screenshot, will try to avoid that in the future, thanks |

Good decision for reporting. Moving quickly in PCM but not updating as often should help with motivation.

Another nice update, I knew he was signing for a bigger team though
Also, is the Tour of California part of the WorldTour or not? One of the screens says it is but it isn't included at the bottom. |
