Riccardo Zoidl
Riccardo is our team leader. and the team's poster boy. An outstanding climber time-triallist, he is one of the Continental Tour's best stage-racers. He has great punchy abilities as well though, so we expect Riccardo to win a fair few classics this season, as well as stage-races. At a ripe 24 years of age, Riccardo will hopefully lead the team into the future and become one of the world's elite.
Matija Kvasina
A veteran of the Conti Tour, Matija is an experienced climber and stage-racer, who will as well as being a great mentor for Riccardo and others, be one of the team's best bets at getting our team jersey on the podium. Matija is the team captain and will always be the general on the road whenever he's racing. A great stage-racer and can finish fast if need be.
Matej Marin
Another veteran, Matej is one of the quickest riders on the team, and has very good ability on hilly terrain as well, a combination that often equals wins in the UCI Europe Tour. He makes his presence known in every race he competes in and will always please the sponsors by jumping into lots of breakaways.
Jan Sokol
At the tender age of 22, Jan is the team's fastest sprinter and by far best cobbler. Although his cobbling abilities may go to waste this season, in the future we plan to fully utilise them as he develops into a faster and stronger rider. One for the future for sure, but also for the now. Building Jan into the Tom Boonen mould is the plan.
Full Squad

All in all we think we have put together a great, young team full of talents for the future, as well as to win races now and possibly promote to the ProConti Tour. As well as our four leaders, riders like Eibegger, Postlberger and Rucker all have the pedigree to win and should deliver the team those precious points.
Top 3 Int. Österreich-Rundfahrt |  | Top 3 Oberösterreichrundfahrt |  | Top 5 Grand Prix Südkärnten |  | Top 5 Int. Raiffeisen Grand Prix Judendorf/Straßengel |  | Win either Austrian Road or TT Championships |  | Top 5 Istarsko Proljece |  | Top 3 Zuid Oost Drenthe Classic II |  | Win One of the Hungarian GPs |  | Win a stage/race in Japan |  |
First and foremost, our sponsors want success in our home races. The Int. Österreich-Rundfahrt is the biggest race on the calendar for the team and a high placing and a strong presence in the breakaways is a must. The sponsors also expect a strong performance in the other big races in Austria, as well as to earn one of, if not both, of the Austrian champions jerseys.
Other specific goals are:
| - A top-3 at the Zuid Oost Drenthe Classic II in the Netherlands, where Jan Sokol will get to show off his great abilities on the cobblestones (Displaying prowess on a range of terrains is very important to the sponsors) | | - The 4 day stage-race Istrarsko Proljece in Croatia, where Matija Kvasina will lead us in his home country on hilly terrain. He will defend the leader's jersey that Markus Eibegger won in 2012. | | - Victory at one of the two European GPs, in Miskolc and Budapest respectively. Jan Sokol will be in great shape there. | | - A victory in Japan, home of one of our newest minor sponsors. They are willing to invest big money in the team if we can put in a strong showing in their home country, where we will race both the Japan Cup in October, as well as the Tour of Japan, which includes the famous Mount Fuji climb! |

@Avin Thanks a lot! Zoidl is one of my favourite riders IRL so it will be a lot of fun to play with him.
@Ian Cheers!
@admir Thanks! Yeah CT teams are awesome. Will be interesting to compare our results at the end of the season (if we all reach that point) since we're using practically the same database.
The Team Presentation is up, have a read if you'd like! |

Cool. I enjoyed your old stories, so this should be good - especially as I like the team (Zoidl in particular, of course )

Sorry if i took this too serious , since you posted " " , but there are 2 sides of it.
Pessimistic: "No one ever before me posted small-team story, i invented it. I am the hero!"
Optimistic: "It's great to have all of these stories,would be nice to compare."
If first one is what you thought, there was at least 50 small CT Team stories before yours on this forum, at least. So... If second one was , yep, i am pretty curious to see everyone's results at the end of first, and i hope next few seasons, if our stories reaches them!

More like within a week of my story
And of course Im not the first or the inventor. Its great to see small teams, I enjoy them a lot more. I myself was inspired by Pelli's story.

@Jesleyh Thank you! As I've said earlier, Zoidl is one of my favourite riders so it's a lot of fun to play with him!
@Selwink Thanks! Yes, I do have some goals, you will see them soon.
@baia Thank you!
@Pellizotti Thanks a lot Pelli. Hopefully this one lasts a little longer than some of my others.
@sutty Yes, it seems that Eastern European teams have pretty light schedules in Jan-Feb, but the real racing kicks off later.
@valverde Thanks a lot valv, I won't lie, I was inspired by your story as I loved the competitiveness of the Conti tour compared to WT and with the new DB and all these new races and teams, it seems perfect. As for what @admir said, I doubt you meant it pessimistically, just an observation which is very correct. I am looking forward to comparing results though! |
