Hey guys for the first time in the last couple of PCM's I've actually enjoyed playing the game which I couldn't believe since I hardly touched 2012 as it turned into boredom pretty quickly for me, but this new version seems right up my street so after already playing with this team for a bit I decided I might as well right a "story"/summary of my time with the team in there races hope you enjoy!

As you can from the post above the tour de france group has already been decided after we got our wildcard for the tour this year. It includes most of our leaders and will with Julian Simon leading the teams stage hunting with Hivert and Pauriol trying to stay up there in a GC.

i461.photobucket.com/albums/qq337/jt1109jt1109/b44140e9-0d82-4ced-8b6a-a3dad822af33_zps336c1221.jpg

Here's Simon's profile for the season most of his objectives are late in the season with the Tour and the championships of France. We hope simon would be able to get our stage wins this season in our big objectives such as the Dauphine and the Tour but other riders such as Siskevicius and Hivert will be our most profitable riders.

Tour de San Luis

Stage 1 - Flat

The first stage we started with the plan of leading out Laborie with Lemoine and it came off well Lemoine pulled off with 1.2km to go and held on for 4th while Laborie then Pelucchi very close for the win on the stage.

1Matteo PelucchiIAM Cycling2h57'18
2Christophe LaborieSojasun+0
4Cyril LemoineSojasun+ 0

Stage 2 - Flat

2nd stage of the career and the result we were looking for a incredible lead out left Laborie with only 1km to cover on his own and a half bike length win over pelucchi was the result my first win with the team hopefully the first of many.

Stage 3 - TT

This TT went a lot better then expected as with Lemoines bonus seconds he lay 3rd overall after this stage ahead of Poux in 4th we had high hopes heading into the hills that Lemoines 70 in the hills could be enough for a top overall finish. He now lead the points jersey classification as well.

Stage 4 - Hilly

Exactly the start we needed from Lemoine staying near the front of the race though he was now 5th overall 45 seconds of Pantano.

Stage 5 - Hilly

A stage which started with Delaplace being in the break and being the last one to survive he hung on for 18th on the stage but Lemoine cracked and 23rd and a 2"37 loss for the GC the points jersey now his aim.

Stage 6 - Hill Top Finish

Another day another break for the team this time Paul Poux lead the break for us though he was dropped by breakaway rivals Clement and Bookwalter he clawed on for 8th on the stage Lemoine cracked on the hill top finish and 27th was the best he could do.

Stage 7 - Flat

A cunning plan was devised at the team meeting in the morning with Lemoine now far enough down to get in the break he could steal the intermediate sprints placing him ahead of Kessikoff in the points jersey race and then hope that the break wasn't caught so Pelucchi didn't get enough points thankfully the break wasn't caught till the finally metres but Lemoine miss timed his sprint and despite being the fastest in the group missed a chance for a stage win but he did gain the team the points jersey and 13th overall in a good start to the season

A decent start for the team, I hope this turns into a looong story, would be great to see Saur scrapping in the tdf for a stage win this season. Wink

MrUfo87

Grand Prix La Marseillaise

At the start of the day we send Talabardon into the break of 7 riders of built a good lead these were

Adrien Petit
Scott Thwaites
Dylan Groenewegen
Ilnur Zakarin
Yohann Gène
Morgan Kneisky
Lukas Pöstlberger

These guys built up quite a gap but were being chased by 11 others which we had failed to get into as we had 3 riders in the group of 10 behind over the top of the final climb this was a disaster as it meant that we had to pin our hopes on Yannick up front but at least as the sprints started the group behind was just catching and yannick had secured Scott Thwaites wheel one of the best sprinters in the group

i461.photobucket.com/albums/qq337/jt1109jt1109/PCM0006_zps70d66591.png

This was the wheel to be on it put Yannick in a great spot till with 1km to go Izagirre came flying past yannick accelrated though and although he was being pulled back at the end had enough in hand to win the race!

i461.photobucket.com/albums/qq337/jt1109jt1109/PCM0008_zpsee3f18b2.png

We were not happy with the leaders of the team thoguh but at least El Fares and Simon managed to lead out the fitter Hivert to win the sprint in the group behind. But we couldn't be unhappy with our 2nd win of the season well done Yannick!

@TheRider I will try it may not be a quick story with work and real life biking but i've no been as hooked on a pcm like this one for a while.

@MrUFO87 Yeah it wasn't surprising really my two sprinters were already at level 2 fitness and as said above i will try my best

Team Lineup:

Anthony Delaplace
Etienne Tortelier
Fabien Schmidt
Jonathan Hivert (Leader for Stages)
Maxime Méderel
Paul Poux (leader for GC)
Rémi Pauriol
Rony Martias

With the TT at the end likely to decide the overall Paul Poux is the leader for the GC with Hivert our best sprinter going for stages.

Stage 1 - Flat

A stage too flat for Hivert who came a good 7th as Chicchi on his first race day of the season.

Stage 2 - Flat with Hilly Finish

i461.photobucket.com/albums/qq337/jt1109jt1109/PCM0010_zps1a7e8951.png

Fabien Schmidt got into the break of the day but did not stay away with a 1km drag to the line we thought Hivert could win the hilly sprint but it was too compact for Hivert to get out and he could of come a lot nearer then his 5th place with a clear run

Stage 3 Hilly Stage Flat Finish

i461.photobucket.com/albums/qq337/jt1109jt1109/PCM0011_zps901c79ef.png

After Anthony Delaplace being in the BOTD and Paul Poux trying his luck on the final climb it came down to a group of 100 of the 198 starters and Poux had recovered enough to put Hivert into a good position but look at Vancansoleil flying on the inside.

i461.photobucket.com/albums/qq337/jt1109jt1109/PCM0012_zpsca3454f6.png

This shot Lighart into a big lead but Hivert was coming back to him all the time with Bagdonas flying on the left hand side.

i461.photobucket.com/albums/qq337/jt1109jt1109/PCM0014_zps6e1a981d.png

Neck and neck with 300m to go but Bagdonas iis coming the fastest of them all

i461.photobucket.com/albums/qq337/jt1109jt1109/PCM0016_zps956f957b.png

And he takes it on a really hard stage Hivert was 2nd and a good lead out from Westra and Poux got them 5th and 7th respectively a good day for Sojasun

The reason for giving only 3 stages is it's the end of January so here's our team rankings at the moment.

As you can see 11th in the CQ rankings so far is a great effort by the team and talabardon's victory in Grand Prix La Marseillaise sure helped the great position were in so far.

You've got a great archetypal French team going on here, getting into the breaks and making the top 10's in the sprints as well as the victory in the big French one day race, good goin'. Pfft

@therider yeah I try and get in the break as much as possible but I am actually trying to win the sprints haha!

Stage 4 - Flat

Stage 4 started with us not being able to get into the break for once but they were caught with almost 30km to go the hilly ish circuit and drag to the line meant the sprinter were stopping as Hivert made his move.

i461.photobucket.com/albums/qq337/jt1109jt1109/PCM0019_zpse693e029.png

But the lightening quick Bagdonas took it again he was now looking unstoppable but Hivert was 2nd again at least.

Stage 5 - Flat

This short but hilly stage caused carnage as ended up with only 4 riders left in the peleton for us and 100 riders all together for us Delaplace rested for the TT as his freshness was low and Poux and Hivert teamates Mederal and Tortelier managed to stay with them to the end were a fantastic lead out from Richeze brought 4 riders clear his teammate Ferrari Bagdonas on his wheel and Hivert on that wheel but Ferrari was super tired from the stage and blew as soon as he lanuched while Hivert again just couldn't get past Bagdonas and settled for 2nd.

Plus 70 other riders on S.T.

Stage 6 - 10km TT with Hilly End

And this result shows how messed up hilly TT's are as Poux who was 13th at the first check point makes up 20 seconds on the hill to win Hivert who was 32nd makes up 35 seconds for 2nd at least the right result came around though as the strongest man by far this week Bagdonas wins the GC. But for Sojasun Hivert's 2nd and Poux's 4th are great performances hopefully they can continue in the Tour of the Med their next race while the team is off to Mallorca next.

Bagdonas will now be targeted in the off-season as a potential transfer to Sojasun after such a great performance hopefully we can bring him in to help our team. What do you guys(our scouts for the year think?)

SPONSOR GOAL - TOP 10

Julien Simon - Team Leader
Christophe Laborie
Cyril Lemoine
David Le Lay
Evaldas Siskevicius
Jimmy Engoulvent
Julien El Fares
Yannick Talabardon

Not really expected much due to the mountain stage but the sponsors goal here is a top 10 so we will see how we do.

Stage 1 - Flat

i461.photobucket.com/albums/qq337/jt1109jt1109/PCM0023_zpsca08ddad.png

For the first time this season we decided to try a lead out which you can see went really badly as we were all over the place

i461.photobucket.com/albums/qq337/jt1109jt1109/PCM0024_zps4cf08930.png

It did help us have a lot of top 20 finishers with Simon 5th Siskevicious 8th the best two but we obviously need to put in some work again tomorrow to see if we can do any better

Stage 2 - Flat

Today the lead out train failed very badly to bring Simon in 9th but we had Siskevicius do his own thing which went well as he got a good 6th on the stage

Stage 3 - Mountains

i461.photobucket.com/albums/qq337/jt1109jt1109/PCM0030_zps5f5ccbb9.png

The hardest stage of the race so we sent Talabardon in the break but hewas on a bad day -5 and got dropped very early.

i461.photobucket.com/albums/qq337/jt1109jt1109/PCM0031_zps1f6aac54.png

The pace on the Cat 1 climb then became too hard for most riders with only 37 left in contention but the big favorites were all up the road with the bunch scrapping for 10th place what we needed for our sponsor goal so we sent Lemoine on the break and he picked up 4 other guys Gusev, Garcia and Garzelli and pulled away

i461.photobucket.com/albums/qq337/jt1109jt1109/PCM0033_zps79f225eb.png

He gained 12th place on the stage and importantly 40 seconds on the bunch behind but he was also 10th overall after the placing from the opening stages were added up a great result so far with a more favourable stage for us tommorow.

Stage 4 - Hilly

i461.photobucket.com/albums/qq337/jt1109jt1109/PCM0034_zps634d2397.png

Today we decided to help Alberto Contador's saxo team with the pace as we felt that Simon and Lemoine were both going well enough to hold on to a hard pace

i461.photobucket.com/albums/qq337/jt1109jt1109/PCM0035_zps61a60402.png

Thundering down with 40km to go the bunch had spilt into 20 and later joined by another 30 but riders like Van der Brouck, Gesink and Garzelli were not here if we could put enough distance into them Lemoine could get 8th

i461.photobucket.com/albums/qq337/jt1109jt1109/PCM0036_zps239f1c6d.png

Up front a break of 7 battled for the win and Lars Boom just held off Eros Capecchi and behind the bunch rolled in with a massive 4 minutes gap to VDB and 9 minutes gap to Gesink meaning Lemoine had completed the sponsor goal and Finished 8th and unbelievable result by him.
