We're in the German capital for the Berlin ProRace. A HC-event, it's completely flat and nothing else but a mass sprint is expected.
Organised last year aswell, it's no surprise that Bennati took the win in front of Vaitkus and Drujon.
It's no surprise that most top sprinters in the division are present. Though some could have gone to Tallin.
With his victory in the Moscow GP, Napolitano proved that he is the premier sprinter in the continental division. he has a strong team around him though leadout men Manarelli is missing.
His country-men Lo Cicero has been more of a letdown so far this season though that mainly has to do with all the hills he had to tackle to get to the finish line. None of them here so he should be fresh to sprint. But his team can hardly be called strong.
Belgian champion Roelandts proved his speed in Langkawi. He got 2nd to Napo in Mosco so hopes to overtake him here.
With a gread leadout from Ventoso, Avelino took the win in Tunis. A sponsor goal achieved but can he duplicate that here. Ventoso is not here to help him but Santos is'nt much worse.
Kupfernagel and Haussler are the riders who the German fans hope that win. The first has been a dissapointment so far but has a very strong team around him with Breschel, Eisel, Keough and Farrar while Sram has Mezgec to support Haussler.
German teams Rothaus and Volkswagen have hopes for two foreigners. Vantomme and Castenada could make their sponsors very happy here with a win.
There are still many other top sprinters on the startlist aswell, none of them can be underestimated. Kennaugh, Davis, Rowe, Hoffman, Kip, Veelers and Drapac all deserve to be mentioned aswell.

Lo Cicero to win this. Calling it right now
Came here with mind I would have a sprinter. I don't after all. Although Lijke can always surprise, this field will be way too tough for him, Top 30 would be good.

Bos, Cavendish, Guarnieri, Serebriakov and Greipel are the only riders in PCT who have 80+ sprint and are not here.
So a really strong startlist considering there is a clashing flat classic.

Manarelli and Sonnery are in Tallinn, so its another weakened lineup. 2nd and 4th in the two HC races so far, so I expect 3rd, 6th or 8th |

I am thinking Roelandts to take a windy sprint.

Parting ways for Drapac and Rasmussen (Tallinn) hopefully pays off in some way. Not expecting too much here in Berlin though.

Thanx for jinxing it Alakagom
On this kind of terrain, everything else than a top 5 for Lo Cicero would be catastrophal, allthough I'm really hoping for a podium. I am quite sure he's not going to win this either. Evian-MIAT has a much stronger team and will take it.

I gotta say, I love the little planning trick with the clash of this and Tallin. Do you send a top team here for max points, or to Tallin in hopes of avoiding competition? I of course went for the latter as it's a win goal, but Rowe should hopefully sneak his way into the top 10.

If Kip actually bothers to sprint then we might see him end around 10th or something, though this will probably be a race to forget.
Nice preview Spilak!

van der Lijke ftw here
Now for reals, maybe Kupfernagel to break his deadlock. Amex's got a great team here and he is on home ground. But hey there are so many names here who could win that it's really anyone's game.
Nice preview there Spilak

This is a season's goal win race for AMEX. Kupfernagel has struggled todate but we are hoping that putting together a strong team to support him and with the help of his home countrie fans cheering him on He can secure a win.
As poor as he has raced, while we would be very pleased, it would be a surprise.
If the supporting team means anything in this race we should do well.

Amex certainly have put together the strongest team so it will be interesting to see how the leadout shapes up. It may be the top sprinter that decides to sit on Kupfernagel wheell will be put in prime position.

Hmm tough to call. I'm going to go Roelandts and pray that Drujon repeats last year's performance.

Roelandts, Napo and Lo Cicero has to be the favourites. Hoffman is targeting the top10 in pure flat race, but of course i would not be unhappy with some of his miracles to finish on podium.
Also AMEX has overpowered lineup, they can have four riders in top10, or can easily fail with so much "leaders".

Vantomme can hopefully continue to ride well. Then a top3-5 should be possible.
Top 5 is actually a sponsor goal for me, so please do it.
