I'm quite addicted to football games, I have FIFA 11 and I think it's good but it could be a lot better (faces, dribbling,...)
So now my question is, with the info there's available would you choose FIFA 13 or PES 2013?
Is it correct that PES is released later than FIFA? And how about FIFA controls compared to PES controls? Are they totally different?

My first thought is FIFA, probably the answer is the same after a while of thinking!
Honestly I haven´t played PES for some years, maybe I played PES Demo last year or the year before that and according too me it was not even close to be as good as FIFA. |

PES was great last year, i was Fifa addict for several years, but last year PES was like a real football simulation in my eyes and Fifa was an arcade game with uniportant features for me like ultime team. Try both and decide, everybody is looking for something else in football games.
PES doesnt have the team and player licences, but that could be easily downloaded and they have licence for CHL and Europa league.

Definantly FIFA, because even though PES is improving, it is nowhere near as good as FIFA |

There is only really one football simulation game worth playing and that is FIFA. |

Have any of you guys even played PES? The pure gameplay outclasses FIFA in every way. Sure, there aren't real teams and leagues sometimes, but for me the Champs League makes up for it. I always get both for PC, but spend most of my time playing PES.
As Avin said, PES is a simulation, FIFA is arcade.

Well, i play PES since the very first one... ( it didn´t even called pro evolution soccer) that time...
I must say honestly that i´m still a fan from PES but every year they make something that blows my nerves...
If you want an arcade game go to FIFA... if you want simulation choose PES..
I might for the 1st time buy FIFA this year... if KONAMI makes shit again...

So the oppinions are clearly divided
What I actually really miss in Fifa is the naturality off dribbles and a special Neymar skill

If PES improves it's physiques then I would probably choose PES over FIFA. But right now it's a no-brainer. |

What about the controls with a Xbox 360 controller?

They are tricky at first, trying to remember what each button does, but once you have mastered them the game becomes totally addictive |

Fifa is a lot better. The graphics are much better but PES has great ideas in Become a Legend, Carrer Mode... But if you want better gameplay and you love football choose Fifa |

I think you have to wait for both 2013 editions to say whats good for you as they improve or change over the years.
For the first years with PES beginnings on PS1, PES was a lot better and with a lot I mean a lot.
After FIFA started to change their thinking of football (08 with a step, 10 the biggest step) it changed to be better and FIFA 12 is very very good compared to the beginnings of the game. Everyone saying FIFA isn't realistic or "the players get too much passes" or "if you want arcade, then FIFA" then turn off the pass help etc. and it plays completly diffrent.
I liked PES a lot more from 1-6 (I liked more Football Live 1 and 2 but was from Sony and not from EA or Konami), 2008 broke it completly for me and everytime I play the demos (I am more into racing then playing football on console, maybe because of PES 2008) I think PES still has to improve a lot of their animations as they are horrible for me, also the shoot/ball physics as they are better at PES 6, it is more close to football now then 2012 to be honest. Also the goalkeeper is still bad for me as they should deflect the shots to the side but not almost everytime infront of the opponents striker.. And the sound is pretty much weak, almost like in a theatre/opera or the Allianz Arena when Bayern plays in the Bundesliga, too quiet and not very often something.
FIFA 13 has to change the impact engine because if you do something, then to it right.
I now they have it from NHL 12 (with even laughable collisions sometimes) but the collisions look sometimes just not good.
But FIFA improved a lot of the AI which is now harder/more clever in general. They also improved the tacklings (not sliding tackles but.. tackles??) stuff over 11 which is now a lot more realistic instead of holding the tackling button and wait until the player automatically runs towards to the ballholder and tries to kick the ball away.
I like PES mainly for the customization stuff, so you can create own teams with jerseys etc. with historical players and teams. But I don't know what I really should PES like for.. It was a lot better with 6 compared with FIFA 2006 (oh wonder).

Career mode in PES is terrible though. Otherwise I'd probably get it. The gameplay actually has variety. In Fifa all you do is pick fast players.

The truest statement ever. My Shrewsbury Town manager mode was just 11 shitty players, but they were all fast so I won the FA Cup.

In my book PES is the game to go for. I am pissed off about it some times, because there are so few leagues, that it becomes slightly boring, but it's just a much better game than FIFA.
