New cycling team announced 2 weeks before new season

Today a more or less shocking news has been announced. There is going to be yet another new team for the 2010 cycling season. Again it's an American team. Dodge - Xerox. "Sky and RadioShack aren't the only ones looking for glory!" said Michael Philips, directeur sportif of Dodge - Xerox.
"Altough the team is based in America, and our main sponsors are American, the team will mostly consist out of European riders." Michael Philips added. The teams line-up is still unknown but Michael Philips told us the following about the team:
"We got a young and fresh team mixed with a few older riders sharing their experience to the youngsters. I can also guarantee that we will bring spectacle in the mountains. But for the team line-up you will have to come to our team presentation on the 23th of december in Toscane."
With this announcement there are already alot of rumors starting. Did some people really sign a contract with their new team or extend their current one? We will see on the 23th of december. Cycling News will keep you updated on any new announcements.

Welcome to the team presentation of:
Dodge - Xerox
This is the moment where alot of people have been waiting for. The team presentation of Dodge - Xerox! Unlike other team presentations i will announce the full line-up at the end, to keep the tention high. So we will start with the goals and sponsors!
Goals and sponsors
Our secondary are, like our main sponsors, also based in America, so it's not a suprise that half of our goals are American races. Altough our goals are pretty tough, i think we should be able to achieve most of them.
To achieve them we need a great team. We need a great stage racer but also a more then decent sprinter if we want to achieve all our goals.

Roman Kreuziger:
Our undisputed leader this season. His goal will be to finish on the podium in Rome, maybe the highest if possible?
Let's hope he can conquer Monte Zoncolan. If he is in shape, Roman will also race Le Tour hoping for a top 10 finish, if we get a wildcard ofcourse. Altough he is still young, he has already won Tour de Suisse and Tour de Romandie.

Leonardo Bertagnolli:
An older rider with alot of experience to share to our young riders in the team. He can ride on any terrain except for cobbles. He will try to achieve the top 5 in Giro di Sardegna. He will also assist Kreuziger in the Giro, and who knows, maybe a stage win?

José JoaquÃn Rojas:
Our main sprinter. Altough he is still relativly young, he has already showed alot of promosing results, mostly in smaller stage races like Tour Down Under, and Tour de Pologne. Also 2 times top 10 in Gent-Wevelgem and a 5th place in Vattenfal Cyclasic. He will try to achieve the points jersey in Tour of California. To bad it was moved to may, otherwise he would have raced the Giro aswell. Besides that he will try to get as much wins as possible, maybe a classic?

David Zabriskie
Being a good all-rounder and ofcourse a great time trialist,
he try to achieve our goal in Missouri. However he will not be racing Tour of California.Instead he will also support the team in Italy, we will certainly need him in the team time trial.
The equipment
Our shirt is designed by the Italian artist known as Calzone, we would like to thank him for the great jersey! We will be riding on Trek bikes this season.
This was our team presentation, hope you enjoyed it and will follow us this season!

I'm looking forward to your sponsor goal of "Finish in Top 3 of Giro d'Italia"! I'll hope for you that Kreuziger is in a good shape because he is the only one who could come close! The other ones are not so hard, maybe Vuelta Ciclista a Catalunya... |

@Tombola: Yea, the Top 3 Giro will be hard, altough it depends on which Italians show up. If i can get top fitness with Kreuziger, i should be able to destroy the opponents in the time trials (my personal strenght). |

The very first race for Dodge - Xerox will be Santos TDU, it will also be the only race in january. We are happy to get a wildcard for this race, now we can immediatly show that we're a team to recon with this season. |
