Congrats Marco, smart move to send Major here.
Cool to see Milesi in white. Let's see if he can retain it. I don't really expect substantial gaps before the last stage. |

Terrific win for Major, congrats Marco! Very happy with 2nd place for Bini. I wasn't too sure what to think of a Pau Marti lead out, but apparently the young lad did great! Those bonus seconds on all major (non-Major) rivals could be very valuable.
Tomorrow will be more telling about the final GC, but this was a very good start. Thanks for the report!

Disaster sprint for Lap makes it harder for GC going forward as he looked blocked multiple times and a couple of bonus seconds here could have really helped |

I forgot we were here but Nommela certainly didn't, great first stage for him, showing why he got our 1 bib over Rossi for this one.

Safe start by Anderberg! Now for what I expect to be the Queen stage, as the final stage seems to be cobbles only on a downhill... Fingers crossed Anderberg can be among the attackers, and also come away with a top result on that stage 2. Do fear the early hill starting the finale, though!
Thank you for the report, UU, and also congratulations, Marco! |

Hmm... Not really happy with Stewart's 13th place here. It seems like he simply decided against joining the sprinters, which I don't understand. But if it was just to save energy for tomorrow and then getting a Top 10, I'm fine with that. At least good to see that he still was close to the front, supported by quite some teammates
Congrats to Marco, thanks for the report to Ulrich!

Gerts throwing away his GC with that move. At least we still have van den Berg in contention in the GC but that second group was so big it's hard to tell where he could end up.

Ok ok much improved stage 2, Spengler showing some life and grabbing crucial seconds. Kuroeda also fairing better in 13th. Keep it up boys and we can get good points outta this one!

Congrats to marco and tasta for winning those stages and thanks to Ulrich for the cool reports, it's (hopefully) not your fault both our leaders tried long-range attacks today to then lose time

7th isn't ideal, I was hoping Bini could do a bit more in the finale after he kept it calm and didn't follow any attacks. But still, sitting in 3rd in the GC is well on pace for our goal, leading the points classification and the U25 are good bonuses. So, all good for now, but slightly more nervous regarding the final stage.
Congrats tastasol, Per finally delivers. And thanks for another very enjoyable report UU!

Again a rather stupid early attack.
With his flat deficit, he really shouldn't attack too early. The timeloss was surely avoidable here. Needs to have two better stages next.
Depth also not that well with all helpers being quite far off.
Not the race I was hoping yet. |

Thank you for the report, UU! Also big congratulations to tastasol. Looks like the Grieg magic works whoever their leader is
Genuinly surprised by the rather small time gaps!
Big relief to see how that played out at the end for us. Feared the worst when Anderberg was reported in a poor positioning, after we had done some work on the front. Happy to have him on the stage podium, especially seeing Eekhoff's brilliant ride to 5th place as well. Hopeful we can defend their GC placings on the final two stages, as they don't look that selective profile wise, at least. Biggest threat could be all those cobblers with decent sprint on themselves. They could well jump up in the GC if it comes down to sprints. |

Not ideal with Salzmann not in the main group. Nothing lost until the last stage though where I need him and Tiller on their A-game. Congrats tastasol! |

Stewart continues his rather subpar performance here, definitely was expecting a Top 10 on this stage. Probably just wasn't feeling good on the first two days, two more to improve on his GC.
On the other hand, Sommer also being right there is clearly positive; hopefully both of them can stay with the peloton on the next two days, and one of them can take some risks now. Nothing gained so far, but not much lost either.
Congrats to Grieg, their cobbles magic continues to work no matter who their leader is

Well, I guess I made the wrong choice.
That was way less selective than I thought, and Pedersen basically just sat around and did absolutely nothing all day. We needed more than that. He didn't seem to have a care int he world despite being the favorite. Hopefully not a sign of things to come this year. Would be ironic if just like SKA, he decides to lose his dominance right after we acquire him.
