Strange decision from Dainese to shift from right to left where it was much more crowded. Not a good start, unfortunately.

Without doubt the highlight of the report!

Nice to see Quintana in the break. I'm sure if it were in the correct jersey he could have done better
Thank you for the great report, Ulrich!

As it has been foretold a van der Kooij lead-out for Kooij will result in a stage win. It's always since winning the opening stage as you get a bunch of jerseys along with it as well.

Kooij delivering! Congratulations, alex
Not the opening all other top sprinters present hoped for, but Kooij proving again he's right up there among them. |

Better from Enger and the boys. One more sprint to get it exactly right. I like the improvement so far.

Oops, failed to follow my own advice and check for DB updates. I am sure with riders of the quality of Los Pollos there will be no reduction in commitment levels.

Fun to see Forssell in the top 10 even if he doesn't get any points. Lund right in front of him after a great leadout too. Cool to see!

Thank you for covering the leadouts, train building and sprints themselves very well, UU!
I enjoy the read, eventhough we obviously don't take part in those final kilometers. Halvorsen proving strongest is cool to see, he played it perfectly for himself and MOL. Congratulations, jaxika! |

Not sure why it's not working out for us in this race. This doesn't seem like very good use of Dainese's race days unfortunately.

Not so good today from the lead-out. Kooij tried to fight back well though. At least we keep white for another day.
