Welcome to the headquarter of SAUBEA, the Development team of Sauber Petronas Racing, and ELCO - ABEA. The team is being led by cobbler Jon Ander Insausti and roulleur Peeter Tarvis, and supplemented by talented riders betwwen the age of 23-27 looking to show their qualities with the ambition of signing a professional contract in 2027.
The team will participate in 11 races from February to July, starting in Belgium and ending in France.
The mission of SAUBEA is to develop the riders that we feel have enough quality to be part of the cycling world, but for some reason didn't get the chance to prove themselves. In our setup we aspire to give the confidence by riding more freely than they would likely get to achieve in a professionel setup, with the aim to give the a boost of confidence to kickstart their development towards their full potential.

Stepanov is a strong allround rider, excelling in his abilities to go flat out, and survive bumps aswell. He is a solid future domestique, aswell as a likely breakaway candidate.

Similar to Stepanov, Crockett too is a strong rider with a powerful engine. Unlike Stepanov, he excels in the shorter and more powerful bumps aswell as cobbles. He is also reasonably fast, and should be a good asset in the future.

Pollefliet is a more one dimensional cobbled-sprinter, than Crockett, but does excel at a higher level in both, making him dangerous if he is delivered in the final group. A future strong cobbled leadout rider.

Petrov was left without a contract this season for some reason, which seems somewhat peculiar, as he is a very talents puncheur, that could even do late domestique works at elite level, aswell as lead the way at lower levels. Rumour has it, that the Sauber manager is having a keen eye on the Bulgarian talent.

van Vliet was left behind after the disbandment of Team Puma, which also hindered his development severely, as he would have been even better with the right nuturing. That being said, he still have enough talent to become a solid GC domestique at lower levels.

Koutounis is the youngest in the bunch, and also the furthest from his full potential. He shares quite a bit of resemblence with Petrov, and is likely being followed closely by the ELCO - ABEA manager, who is on a never ending chase for Greek cycling talent.
