Obviously a very fun report to read - so thank you lief and to all for the congratulations! And to think that I wasn’t even going to attend this race until I rethought my schedule after C1/C2 results and needed to substitute those RDs.
Oka should now be guaranteed a top 20 position which is absolutely bonkers as I thought he wouldn’t end up anywhere near the sprints after seeing the startlists. Still, I’m glad I put together my best train just in case as it shows now occasionally it’ll hit.
Kennett showing why we sacrificed our best talent for the chance at a true star. Our first win of the season and a beautiful representative for our team. Hopefully he can hold onto yellow for another day and turn this into a top 5 GC placing! As long as he finds top 10s regularly, anything more than today is icing on the cake!

What a result Sean, congrats!
Willwohl 5th is a pleasant surprise. Can't be disappointed with that. Adomaitis 13th is intriguing. Was he in the BOTD? That's the kind of 4D chess that may help us stay afloat. Curious to see what comes nexr. Thanks for the report lief!

Ah, unfortunate. For a bit, it looked like Willems was in great position, alas he couldn't convert. 12th is quite bad to be honest, after 8th yesterday already wasn't great. Hopefully he can still turn it around.
What a month Trans are having, already their third win if I'm not mistaken. Congrats! And thanks for another nice report

Why is Kamberaj doing well at the intermediates but nothing in the sprints? |

Better from Zabel, and Kallberg just keep those points slowly getting in

Not sure what this result will mean for team leadership moving forward, but a 5th place is a 5th place! Still in great standing but Kennett needs to find clean air. Hopefully that won’t be a major problem the next two stages - but lots of folks are struggling with that same issue. Think these flat states really test the leadouts and that was never going to be great for us when we held jerseys.
Liu with a great win, always fun to see the teams that control early actually make it work. Congrats Tinxia - love seeing your team pull together some great wins!

Maintaining our top 10 GC means it's another decent stage from Einhorn, hopefully he can pick the correct wheel in one of these sprints as it seems he's always on the back of a train that collapses.

Zingle isn't competitive for the time being, so I’m drawing inspiration from Liu’s performances instead Congrats Tinxia!

Yes that's much better. Given the leadout we maybe should have had more than third, but we'll take the result after stage 1
