Some points secured, but not that many. Eriksson vanished on Willunga and Lagane is capable of much more. Still, maybe there's some weirdness to come and Lagane can benefit a couple of places.

Pretty disastrous start for us with Middle East going horribly wrong and doing nothing here. Clearly we decided dominating the first climb and the first stage was sufficient effort for the race. Not sure which is worse, Middle East where I think we just got a horribly timed puncture or some other bad luck or here which was clearly a planning mistake. Hopefully we can get in the break tomorrow.
Yes, I should have prioritized McCormick for McCormick more, going to say I wasn't the only one who underestimated him. On top of that, I also sold Narvaez, who I think would have been very good here.

No more points for Hayakawa, and Kinoshita even lost time (not that he was in a points scoring position). Disappointing end to a disappointing race. |

The quiet start to the race was a bit worrying, but the last two stages we turned it around to make it a pretty big success after all! Thanks kb

We'll take it. Not a bad swing through Australia, but not as good as we hoped. Kaden's showing promise, Lagane is Lagane. Eriksson was a gamble here and it didn't work, he'll turn it around!

Kalaba has sufficient marks this race. Van Niekerk still needs to wake up from his winter (or summer) sleep.
Thanks for the reports kb and congrats Abhi!

That sprint was more in line were El Sabbahi should be finishing
Nice to move up to 11th but Cerny lost time so barely actually gained any net GC points. Overall though a very nice race for us with how much El Sabbahi overperformed, definitely offsets Tesfatsion getting nothing. Was worried about how many points we'd see in some of our less suited C1 races so starting off the season doing very well in one of them is a great sign.
Thanks for the high quality reports throughout kb and congrats abhi!

McCormick wins! Do we get name points? Congrats to Abhi
Well that was a total disaster after the first half of the first stage. If we aren't going to try on the hill stages we could at least go in the break on the flat ones.
Thanks to KB for the reporting.

Two top 10s at a C1 race is a fantastic result for us especially when TDU hasn't really ever worked out for us before.
Really tough luck for a few puncheurs who I value even better than ours, Simmons and Paez at the least - not sure what Simmons had happen to him, while Paez appears to have gotten some terrible luck on the final stage.
Congrats again to all who found some success this race - especially the race and stage winners. Many more races to come if this one didn't go your way.

Kamberaj a little disappointing, Oliveira hit and miss, but still a decent result due to our depth. Winning a TC as a CT team is nice.
Very weird race, hopefully engine does better in the next races. |

Not a great race for Willems, but not terrible either with those 5th and 6th places. He's in the mix, just have to hope things come together for him at one point or another this season.
But the main thing is of course Madouas' 2nd overall, which is great! T-3rd in the mountain classification is a small bonus on top, as is Mansouri moving up into the Top 25. Overall, this should be another pretty solid PpRD race for us to continue a not super spectacular but very steady January for us.
Thank you very much for the reports and once again congrats Abhi!

Thankfully Walls did not get the three-peat and we held on for the GC! I was hoping for something like this to happen but the source was definitely unexpected! Kulikovskiy finally got into the Top 10 on a sprint stage. His sprinting wasn't great but his GC position is much more than expected, even gaining a place on the last stage. Haverdings winning the U25s is another big surprise! Add to that some stage and classification points, makes it a super successful race for us. A good comeback after a poor DUC.
Congrats to BW on the back to back stage wins, thanks for all the congrats for us and thanks for the great reports kb
