Beautiful kit ans some great legends of the game in that squad. Good luck for your first campaign!

you'll see more thoughts when I post my CT preview, but I overall like your team! Some good leaders although I think they're going to face some stiff competition.

Will be sharing probably 85% of our calendar with you from what I see on quick glance, so will definitely be keeping close tabs on how you do this season!

Thanks yeah, I think we're on the outside looking in for a Top 5, but also a run at promotion isn't entirely out of the question (and my model agrees).

The hills are just stacked in CT this year...

Really beautiful jersey!

Also, I'm definitely impressed and like the look of what you've done in transfers, bringing in leaders, but also riders that have value "here and now", but also for the future, like Aquilani. Well done!

The jersey is really great!

The squad is well built but it probably is a little short in terms of challenging near the top of the division this season.

Great jersey! It has a bit of a Corona Beer vibe to it, but maybe that's just my beer-loving brain after seeing all the brewery sponsors in the Mangame Grin

redordead
If I had to guess I'd say maybe not quite good enough for automatic promotion, but could be in the running for some disband spots.

A good job combining the Italian and Japanese focus into a competitive team Smile

January Preview

As the season swings into view, Fincantieri - Grand Seiko prepares to debut over four races in the opening month of the campaign!

StartEndRaceCategory
08-Jan Clasico San JoseC2
12-Jan17-Jan Tour Down UnderC1
29-Jan Great Ocean Road ClassicC1
29-Jan Hong Kong ChallengeC2

None are specifically team goals, but the squad would love to get off to a strong start, especially at the C2 level, as we look to set the tone for a successful year.

Clasico San Jose

Our debut race will be the C2 Costa Rican hilly classic, the Clasico San Jose. We'll be sending a strong hills squad including Kinoshita and Langellotti as co-leaders, with the hope of scoring at least a podium.

Tour Down Under

We then move on to both the C1 class of races and to the Land Down Under. First up will be the Tour Down Under itself, where Kinoshita, Smith, and Hayakawa together lead a solid all-around team.

Given the high level of competition, consistent stage showings leading to a respectable overall finish with some points is the extent of our aspirations.

Great Ocean Road Classic

We stay in Australia and the C1 band to contest the Great Ocean Road Classic. We expect an extremely strong sprint field to attend the race, and the parcours does not suit Aquilani with a straightforward delivery into the finish.

So, with an undersized squad led by Hayakawa, baring some extreme luck showing the flag in the breakaway will likely be all we can aim to accomplish.

Hong Kong Challenge

On the same day, we look to much more strongly contest the C2 hilly classic in Hong Kong. Once again we send a strong (if undersized) selection from our hills squad, with Kinoshita and Langellotti both available to lead as the race develops.

Fun program to start the team's MG journey! You should get a very early indication of what your strong hills squad is capable of both in C2 and in C1, as well as how the dynamics with Langellotti and Kinoshita play out. Should be fun, good luck Smile

Two hilly classics and a hilly stage race, I won't be surprised if you start out flying Grin

Good luck!

A Magical Debut!

At the Clasico San Jose in Costa Rica, the team debuted perfectly: with a victory! Our veteran puncheur and Japanese National Road Race Champion, Tomohiro Kinoshita, won a three-up sprint at the line to bring us a fantastic first result.

pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2026/Reports/C2/SanJose/27.jpg
Kinoshita beats his fellow veteran national champions, Quita and Yates, to the line.

The team worked smartly and effectively all race. When a strong group including multiple pre-race favorites got away with about 20k to go, the squad didn't panic. Instead, Langellotti selflessly buried himself into the wind to bring Kinoshita back to the front of the race, at massive cost to his own chances for a result.

pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2026/Reports/C2/SanJose/15.jpg
Langellotti (#41) chases hard, while Miyazaki (#47) looks after Kinoshita (#45).

Kinoshita would get away alone, before Quita and Yates dragged him back up the final climb. But the wily veteran had the most left in the tank to win the sprint.

pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2026/Reports/C2/SanJose/31.jpg
Seiko was ecstatic to see the legendary Kinoshita on the top step.

Although a tremendous victory for the team, the results underscore how challenging the competition will be this year. With Quita in 2nd and strong depth, Deutsche-Windguard actually outscored the squad on the day (and added some more with a Top 10 at the Down Under Classic). JEWA, Air New Zealand, and SEE Turtles all placed strongly as well. But the excitement of the debut win has the team walking on cloud nine, and ready to push for more points and wins and maybe even, come the end of the season, promotion.
