So interesting that a scenario me and jack talked about seems to have played out with the final climb coming the game decides on Kinoshita and Langellotti buries the group for him great tactics and a awesome win
Low ST guys i wouldn't be too worried for going forward this race just doesn't suit them at all more stage races to suit in future.

Looks like he stole exactly one point indeed 
Was looking even far better with a couple of km to go, but I guess no Spr, no Acc, no Res just killed him on that final uphill. Still, we won't end the season with 0 points, which is already a success

Oh. My. God.
What an incredible start to the season! I was absolutely panicking when we didn't make that initial leaders group, but sounds like Langellotti took some phenomenal pulls to bring Kinoshita back to the front and he delivered.
Hugely exciting, and got me even more excited for the year to come. |

Congrats Jack on the win, and to Air New Zealand for packing two in the top 5 - can't remember any occasions where that happened last year and really showcases how crucial Yates as a domestique can be.
While San Jose can definitely be a bit of an outsider given how long it is, this one showed how crucial having multiple strong riders can be. McCarthy was pretty much on his own and gets beaten by Kinoshita (Langelotti), Quita (the entire team), Yates (Kelderman up front in the late group), and the Air New Zealand duo. Rojas pulling out a crazy result as well after utilizing Tesfatsion.
Definitely not upset with 6th, given this is one of the races we held Nikiema home for. Most important, we're just pumped to see us all in action again! Thank you for the report!

Very entertaining start to the season! Congrats on this fabtastic start Jack!
Very glad to have picked up some points with Orosco and Lau there. Probably my best ever C2 race
