Four riders all with reasonable chances here, but Burke is the favorite.
Specialized are the only team with more than one professional rider at the start line (they have four) and they try to take advantage by sending Julien and La Grenade up the road between the two climbs of the day. But those two are probably the two worst climbers among the pros here, so they get caught very quickly on the final ascent.
Gee then launches the first major attack with 12 kilometers to go. Burke, Matte, De Vos, Stroll and Cataford are all there – exactly the six you’d expect to compete for the title.
Two kilometers later, De Vos accelerates and he gets a decent gap.
Burke goes after De Vos and quickly passes him. The others look beaten.
But De Vos isn’t yet! He makes his way back to Burke with 6 kilometers to go.
Burke accelerates again two kilometers later, but he can’t shake De Vos.
The two of them enter the final kilometer side by side, both looking very tired.
It’s a very close affair, but in the end, Burke just about comes out on top.

Time Trial
Cataford is the top favorite in the TT.
Jussaume will likely have this title on lock starting next year when he fully comes into his own and Cataford will start to decline. But today, he must be content with the silver medal, even if he cuts it pretty close.
Because one more time, by just 14 seconds, the Canadian Time Trial Champion is Cataford!
