A bunch of strong sprinters, as you’d expect from a flat country.
No significant attacks today, so right to the sprint we go. A couple of teams try to set up their sprinters: Specialized for Van Poppel and Rabobank for Kooij on the left ahead of Zwift for Welten, and a bit further behind on the right are Hunter Valley for Jakobsen and Aker – MOT for Groenewegen.
Near the flamme rouge, just one leadout remains: Van der Kooij jumps to the front, Kooij in his wheel. De Kleijn and Van Poppel follow closely, Groenewegen lingers further behind.
But Kooij leaves it extremely late to accelerate, which gives Groenewegen the time he needs to get to the front on the right hand side of the road.
And his acceleration can simply not be matched by anyone. Groenewegen is the new Dutch champion ahead of Van Poppel and Kooij.

Time Trial
In the absence of Steven Lammertink, Krul is the main favorite for the time trial. Can anyone stop him?
Oomen, Eekhoff and Van Dijke are engaged in a very close battle, ultimately with the better end for the Sony rider. It was a battle for third place, though, as it quickly became clear that this would be a two-horse race today.
Van Baarle finishes more than a minute ahead of the aforementioned. Through the checkpoints, he was within just 6 seconds of Krul, the last rider on the road. Can he catch up in the final third?
No! Perhaps closer than expected, but by 11 seconds in the end, the Dutch Time Trial Champ is Krul.
