How would those disbands affect the divisional structure though? I guess when we talk about PCT->PT there will be 2 additional teams promoted (Specialized and Hunter Valley Cycling), but there will be no CT->PCT promotions, meaning the rule change maeant for 2027 will take effect for the 2026.
We lost 4 CT teams however, lowering the number of teams to just 12 (assuming there are no additional disbands)

Following the first post of the planned changes thread the reduction of PCT of up to two teams was always planned for 2026 if (and as far as) disbands would allow for it (which is now the case) and would have only happened in 2027 if there would have been too few disbands in the higher divisions, meaning that some one-time adaptions to promotion and/or relegation to/from PCT would have been needed for the 2026 season (which obviously must have been announced prior to the 2026 season). But all of this 'what if' isn't needed because of the disbands of EA and Puma, so as you stated there will be 7 promotions to PT to get the division to 22 and 5 to PCT to reduce this division to 22. Any further disbands of PT or PCT teams will get further CT teams promoted.
So right now we have 12 existing CT teams with the goal of up to 20 actual teams (and up to 24 including development teams). So let's hope we find some active new managers for a great CT experience!

SN is easily the biggest legend of the game, and probably will be forever. The amount of effort he put into the game in the earlier years have been absolutely crazy. The stop to the game is fair, however, and if it wasn’t for the fully deserved Goodwill, he should have stopped multiple seasons ago. That being Said it’s definately still sad!
For me personally losing cio is even worse though! Together with Roman he’s easily the manager I have been talking the most to over the course of many many years. We have enjoyed hours on end of discussing the game to the smallest detail.
We Can Only hope for Them to miraculously Gimming back some time in the future. Luckily we have seen some very very nice comebacks in recent years!

Yeah pretty unlucky for us. 4 disbands in CT and still we have 5 teams demoting from PCT and 5 promoting from CT. Shitty year with the rule change for disbands and the new PCM 2024 engine that hates De Bie and Hirt.

Losing a long time manager is never fun, but definitely the right call here. Wirtgen, Würtz and Herklotz three beasts that deserve to have a manager in the discussion threads bot for the other managers and reporters.
Definitely a shame to lose MacC, always a great manager/project to follow and read more on. The other three just could never really start their MG career I guess. Hopefully tastasol doesn't follow, but I assume it's a real possibility by now.

Always sad to see any Manager go, especially those that have been a big part of the game to date but it'll be great to see such great riders winning for active managers which ultimately contributes to more posts in race threads and a better buzz around the game in general.
Fingers crossed we get a good bunch of new managers for 2026 as we've always managed to pick up some great additions!

Even though I do benefit greatly from both SN and Cio leaving, it's a sad day for the game to see two such icons of the MG force-disband even if it has been on the wall for a few years now.
Sad to see MacC go as well due to the nature of his project being a fun one to follow!
