We’re still right within the battle for promotion and even the division win. We have quite some RDs in September and again some races with really good chances.

Plenty of opportunities to score I wouldn't be surprised if you can keep the lead after this block!

We had a rather slow start to the month with our final two wildcard races and a nearly zero-pointer in Denmark. But two good races saved the month, including another achieved sponsor goal, our first stage win of the season and the only second ever GC win of our history, putting us just above 20 PpRDs once again.
| Start | End | Race | team goal | results | | 01-Aug | | GP Kigali | - | Top 25 |
We worked at the front of the peloton and Zepuntke showed this wasn’t for nothing as he was active in the finale both in attacks and chasing. He paid for this by just missing out on the top 10, but then it’s been a wildcard race and we had the fun we looked for.
| Start | End | Race | team goal | results | | 07-Aug | | East Midlands Cicle Classic | - | 2 Top 25s |
Our last wildcard race of the season was a rather anonymous one. Zepuntke finished in the first big group as 13th.
| Start | End | Race | team goal | results | | 09-Aug | 13-Aug | Post Danmark Rundt | - | Stage Top 10 |
The first stage was rather anonymous, but Rajovic managed a 6th place in the sprint nonetheless. Stage 2 saw a winning break, but our rouleurs didn’t join it and so we missed out on this one. Stage 3 was hilly and our entire team decided to call it a day and lose 4+ minutes. Stage 4 finally saw us joining the break even with 3 riders, but this one was less lucky and brought back early. The final TT was kind of pointless for us after the race so far – and we were proven right with all our riders missing out on the GC top 50 in the end.
| Start | End | Race | team goal | results | | 13-Aug | | Chrono d'Arenberg | Top 10 | 2 Top 10s |
We came here with the sponsor goal to achieve a top 10 – and we spent most of the transfer season to sign a fitting rider until we got Küng. He actually did what he was signed for and finished 10th, but we could have saved ourselves the hassle as our home-grown Louvel did even better in 7th. So we hope our sponsors (and the MGUCI) are also double happy!
| points: | 99 | | Matis Louvel | 60 | | Stefan Küng | 37 | | Ruben Zepuntke | 2 |
| Start | End | Race | team goal | results | | 15-Aug | 20-Aug | Tour of Japan | - | GC Win; 2 GC Top 25s; Stage Win; Stage Podium; Stage Top 5; U25 Win; 2nd U25 |
The prologue was a good one with Ranaweera among the better GC riders and Vauquelin taking the white jersey. Stage 2 was one for the sprinters and finally Rajovic was able to take profit from a rather weak field and his great acceleration as he wheelsurfed to his first win for our team!
Rajovic bursting to our first stage win of the season in stage 2.
Stage 3 was the first of two hilly ones and with all our GC riders finishing in the lead group it was what we could expect. Ranaweera even participated in the uphill sprint in stage 4 and came in 5th there, setting him up well for the decisive MTT stage 5. He did as we hoped there, finishing second in the stage and taking the GC lead by a mere second. Our youngsters Garibian and Vauquelin did also well and both took top 20 positions in the GC as well as a 1-2 in the U25 competition. The last stage was a flat one so we ‘only’ had to avoid some late shenanigans. We could well live with the break taking the stage win as we took the GC in the end! With lots of minor scoring from all classifications on top this race ended as a full success!
Ranaweera on his way to 2nd in stage 5 – and the GC lead!
| points: | 193 | | Suranga Ranaweera | 135 | | Dusan Rajovic | 22 | | Arman Garibian | 19 | | Kevin Vauquelin | 16 | | Lenny Martinez | 1 |
| Start | End | Race | team goal | results | | 22-Aug | | Milano - Torino | - | Top 25 |
It’s been one if the weaker classics from APP who finished in 18th after being dropped rather early in the finale.
| points: | 8 | | Aurelien Paret-Peintre | 8 |

Japan was an amazing result with Arenberg bringing in a good amount of points. Time to start planning for bigger things

Oh, the planning for bigger things has started a long time ago But now it's not just daydreaming anymore. I've heard other managers are really keen on helping to achieve one's wet dreams, so I assume transfers will be easy-peasy with everyone willfully handing over my designated targets for some peanuts ...
But more earnestly: there are all kind of plans in the making, depending on how the talent class will unfold, who gets available in Free Agency and who might be available (and achievable ...) to trade in. Oh, and maybe even some first training ever ...
The biggest question will be if we already go for a longer PT stint or plan with a possible (and probable) relegation to even further build the future core. At least Lenny will already be a potential PCT leader in 2027 ...

I think trying for a longer PT stint and staying far away from French talents is the best play
without doubt
I think you even need to open up wage cap by letting unmaxed riders go!

Japan and Arenberg two great races for you in your campaign and then some fun wildcard outings as well. Zepuntke keeps getting his revenge for all my hating over the last ten years!

It’s the final month of the season and promotion looks basically sealed already, which obviously is great. But that also means we can go all the way and put up a good fight for the division title as well!

Maybe a longer PT stint might be compatible with some French talents, who then will be loaned out to Imladrik just to tease you
But thinking about it the PT loan cap will be pretty helpful when you are promoted to PCT ... And it's probably best if you focus on the Luxembourgian talents anyway!
Obliged to be of service

Zepuntke getting his revenge to all his haters! Although he'll finish just shy of 500 points, so he stays the perennial disappointer ((c) Heine) ...

It's been a great season, although it's still our shared worst season regarding stage and GC podiums. But the consistency over all terrains and many riders surely pays off big time!

Four meh and two great races made it another huge month in the end. In total we amassed four wins (including a GC one), 3 more podiums and two more jersey wins plus 6 more classification podiums. This put us well above 20 PpRD once again and should have sealed promotion while putting us in a good position to even aim for the division title.
| Start | End | Race | team goal | results | | 01-Sep | | Riga - Jurmala GP | - | Top 25 |
Katrasnik chased down a late attack and we got some depth points. That’s about it.
| points: | 15 | | Alain Quispe | 9 | | Gasper Katrasnik | 2 | | Ewen Costiou | 2 | | Dusan Rajovic | 2 |
| Start | End | Race | team goal | results | | 03-Sep | 08-Sep | Tour de Romandie | - | GC Top 10; GC Top 25; Stage Win; Stage Podium; 2 Stage Top 10s; 2nd Points; 3rd KoM; U25 Win; 2nd U25 |
The race started with a TTT and the team showed one of our best ever performances in one of those, finishing in 5th losing only 6’’ to the winner with no GC riders dropped. Stage 2 was a flat one and so it ended uneventful for us. Stage 3 was rated hilly, but with a steep final climb Ranaweera actually achieved a stage podium and rose to 2nd in the GC before the only mountain road stage of the race. He finished 7th there and lost some crucial time, dropping to 6th in the GC with quite some gaps both upwards and downwards. At least we took over another Garibian-Vauquelin 1-2 in the U25 classification. And the time lost from Ranaweera hurt even more as he actually won the following MTT! This was a historic result for us as it’s our first ever TT win, also catapulting our leader into 2nd in the points classification and 3rd in the KoM rankings. Küng in 8th of the stage was another nice surprise.
Ranaweera with another strong MTT performance on his way to win stage 5.
An uneventful last stage (at least for us) left us with 6th in the GC and combined with lots of points from everywhere else it accumulated to another strong race, scoring more than 200 points once again.
| points: | 208 | | Suranga Ranaweera | 148 | | Arman Garibian | 30 | | Kevin Vauquelin | 22 | | Stefan Küng | 7 | | Sulkhan Akhmaevi | 1 |
| Start | End | Race | team goal | results | | 08-Sep | | Japan Cup | - | Top 25 |
Roosen went into the break which had no chance at all. Quispe was dropped early and finished last. APP came in 17th against strong competition. Nothing to write home about really.
| points: | 15 | | Aurelien Paret-Peintre | 15 |
| Start | End | Race | team goal | results | | 25-Sep | 30-Sep | Vuelta al Pais Vasco | - | GC Win; 2 GC Top 25s; 2 Stage Wins; 2 Stage Podiums; 2 Stage Top 5s; Stage Top 10; Points Win; 2nd U25; 2nd Teams |
We came here with high hopes for the GC, but the stage 1 TTT was a bit of a bummer as we not only finished down in 9th but also dropped APP to lose some additional seconds. We entered stage 2 with APP as favourite for the stage win and not only contributed in the chase, but also set up our first sprint train of the season for him. And it really paid out as he dominantly won the sprint in the end, propelling him to 2nd in the GC and the points lead. His leadout Küng finished 5th in the stage on top.
APP starting his sprint to win stage 2 from the bunch.
The next stage had a similar profile but this time APP finish just outside the top 10 in 11th with Akhmaevi even ahead of him in 9th. The stage 4 TT saw all of our riders lose quite some time, so it all came down to the final two hilly stages. And APP delivered like we only could hope for in stage 5. After following the decisive attack he took over the lead in the final km just to never lose it again, netting his second stage win in the race and also taking over the GC lead!
APP celebrating his second stage win.
The final stage was all about defending the GC lead and the team achieved that in style with Garibian, APP and Küng finishing in 2nd to 4th in the stage. In total it was another great race for us with a long list of results and a huge amount of points.
APP crossing the line to win the race, accompanied by Garibian and Küng.
| points: | 248 | | Aurelien Paret-Peintre | 197 | | Arman Garibian | 26 | | Stefan Küng | 19 | | Kevin Vauquelin | 4 | | Alan Boileau | 2 |
