The last time Yates and Sosa rode together they let the break win on a mountain stage. Hopefully this ends better.

I'd say it ended pretty damn well

Yes it did. In a way brings home even more what a disaster Eritrea was, if we score at this level there, which wouldn't have been crazy, we are probably on the edge of the promotion race. Of course everyone has their what ifs and we have had luck elsewhere.

I went back to the DB to check on Gesbert's MO stat. It's 74 for all of you who might be interested.

No questions the MM stat has brought guys like Gesbert back into races like this. Hirschi would have been strong here I think. In a way it is a correction to the changes of the last few years that heavily favored the MT stat. We will continue to adjust the calendar if it seems to have gone too far. And will make this a MM profile indicator which is probably fairer.

Congrats to Jaxika, Ardila seems to have found his terrain.

For us, Faglum Karlsson continues his consistency in the latter half of the season, he's been riding inspired in his leadership role and has given us a genuine contender in many of these longer races reliant on stamina. What a godsend he's been and I feel pretty vindicated having let Romo go to get him (rather than rely on the likes of Carapaz, etc. from the free agent pool).

Didn't expect any result, but would have liked us to at least be in the breakaway or try something. Guess the team can't be bothered at this point.

Thanks for the report.

Solid 2nd from Jorgenson, at least he is doing his best to keep us up.

Another note wroted for the future to Ardilas possible calendar Smile. Hes doing well lately, recovering from the esély (and MID) season failures.

Thanks for the great preview and report!

At least Scaroni out performing Natarov is a good sign for our future

Took a chance sending Gesbert here, but had a feeling it could be a good course for him and happy to see that it was! Great attack from him and a solid effort to stay away until the final climb and even retain enough power to finish quite strong.

Congrats to MOL and thanks for the report!

Sad not meant to throw shade! It was just the dilemma I had during the transfer season, either Romo plus Carapaz or whoever was left at that point from the free agency pool, or blow it up and try again with Faglum Karlsson (and find a hills leader which ended up being Bettiol as Eiking went out of budget).

For what it’s worth, I thought your dual wielding MT leaders with Carapaz and Choi was the right approach in going for multiple point scoring options in the mountains, rather than how I’d be using Carapaz as sole leader.
