Nicely done by Dewulf, an absolute beast so far. Doesn’t look like we’re in great shape for the GC for now, but lots to play for with the TT coming up. Hoping Viennet and Perez have enough in reserve to do well on the day, as Willwohl hasn’t really fired on the sprints either.
Thanks for the reports!

I guess it went aproximately as you could have expected here for us.
Ioannidis clearly had an off day, but the others were around where to expect, maybe even a couple of spots higher for Christapopoulos.
Farantakis did what he could to see if a GC top 50 was possible, but that ultra long ITT really makes this an all TT races. A bit sad of you ask me, as it’s always fun to see the best sprinters fight for a 10-25th GC place.
Time to pick up and do better than stage 2, if we are to come away from this race with anything really useful.

I basically agree - but iirc the length of the ITT was increased because in past years, we sometimes had the case that the group of sprinters got a gap over the rest of the pack in at least one of the flat stages (look at the 2023 results, which I think triggered the change). So the longer ITT basically ensures that it really is a TTers race.
This might not be necessary this year, given that we have many more TTers races now with the AI making sure there are almost no gaps in stages that aren't mountainous. But once we can somehow fix this (if possible at all), I think it's still good to have a longer TT stage to ensure this race goes to the TTers.

True Fabianski, but even in 2023 it was still a TT’er race. The best sprinters survived and got good results, but there was only 4 sprinters in the top 30, so I Think increasing the TT by 20km to make sure that never happens again seems a fair bit unessesary tbh
You don’t really see any races where sprinters with a good TT stat is fancied. It’s either a High PRL or nothing.
It’s fine by me to wait until making such changes after Farantakis is no longer relevant, but it seems like a race that would be relevant, at it would mix a different group than normal. Some of the less strong sprinters actually could be interesting there due to a decent TT stat.

Won't be another GC probably, but still a good race for us so far.

Thank you for the great reporting, redordead
Best stage of his career so far I think for Ocampo, so hopefully he is able to keep his fourth place in GC in the two coming stages!

Good result for Bjerg, just going to be a tense few days to see if it will be seventh or eighth given the time. Two seconds faster and we wouldn't have this problem

That went as good as possible really. 2nd and 12th for the moment is great. Hopefully none of those sprint splits hit us again!
Thanks for the report!

Meh...looks like PT domination. Not surprising, but still had held out hopes of getting some GC points. Still though, thanks to Dewulf's efforts, we won't be going home empty handed. Thanks for the report redordead

Arh so close! 2nd is still a solid result here from Farantakis. Congrats on the win Oleg!
Final stage! Let’s hope We Can come away with one last stagewin, otherwise we won’t reach the goal of the race. It was a bit high though.

Some decent sprinting from Kamberaj. One more time and there's actually a satisfying race from him

Not a good sprint by Grosu, despite us having a well working train. I hope he comes back next stage to claim the sprinters jersey!

Finally we manage to complete a successful lead-out - unfortunately it was followed up by an unconvincing sprint from Dainese. A failed race for us here.
Thanks for the reports, red!

Better finish to the race for Kuli than how it started. 6th and 10th on Stage 4 and 5 is a decent outcome in this sprint startlist.
Awesome GC outcome with 2nd and 13th, and a bit more. Add some stage, U25 and Teams classification points, and this was a successful race.
Shoutout to former loan-in Ocampo on a great result as well!
Congrats to ryant on the stage win and thanks to red for the reports

Poor finish unfortunately where the points Jersey was also lost.
Still a respectable result, despite not quite meeting the pre-race expectations.

Points-wise a nothing race for us as expected, but credit to Lutsyshyn for continuing to never be a zero for us in any race, and Valgren Andersen for his KoM podium. Thanks for the reports red!

Yeah, certainly not great, quite far away from expectation, but still, that's probably around 25 pprd, which is not horrendous, but couldve been a lot more

Not a great final stage for Kamberaj, and as expected Bjerg draws the short stick in the s.t. Eighth in the GC for the latter and a fourth on a stage for the former is not too bad for a PTHC race.
Thanks for the reports
