Quite surprisingly the breakaway stood together on the first climb of the day and despite a late surge of speed from pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2025/Micros/lot.png Verstrynge, it was pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2025/Micros/tir.png Bayer who was first at the summit

It was a slightly different story on the second climb of the day, though they did spend most of it in a compact group more or less. At the top of the climb 3 riders have gotten clear of the others: pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2025/Micros/dna.png Arifin, pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2025/Micros/sct.png Azman and pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2025/Micros/gct.png Fjellheim. With a 1st place here and 4th on the first climb of the day, pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2025/Micros/dna.png will be tying whoever wins the stage for the KoM jersey. That is of course if it will be the favorites who take it today and not the breakaway.

As the 5k banner was looming in sight and the remains of the breakaway about to be caught by the favorites group, it was pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2025/Micros/mck.png Sosa who drew first blood, with pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2025/Micros/min.png Reis quick to follow him

But the Minion quickly slowed down as the attack was just a bit too fast for him.
