Hepburn had a very good position in the GC at the start of the day (10th) and could have used the intermediate sprints to gain some valuable bonus seconds. But it looks like it was all about protecting pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2025/Micros/see.png

Singh for the Aussie as he had no interest in the intermediate sprints and while the other two escapees were sprinting for the last one, he looked spent. He would not be able to join the other 2 and would be caught quite early by the pack. It's going to be a long way to the finish line for the 10th place in the GC.
