Congrats red!
Skjelmose gets another day in yellow, and despite my fears Rodenberg didn't end up getting cut on time (not that it would matter that much). I'll take that as a successful day out!

Sucks that we underperformed/had some dodgy AI sprints in the last 2 stages that Yates was favourite for but we have still grabbed some decent stage results regardless, obviously could be better but Ackermann is such a nice rider to have so its good to see he's getting some success!
Essentially only Champs stage is left for us now but maybe we can get Bonnamour/Stancu in one of these mountain stages and pray!

Did the screenshot suggest correctly that Lecuisinier took the HC climb? If so, yay - at least something potentially nice to take away from this race

A bit silly that out of all the mountain stages Evonik and the favorites let breakaways win, the AI decided we need to prevent any break and burn through our whole team to control the race the whole day. I fear this will leave Skjelmose very isolated and he will ultimately finish much worse because of it. But I guess I shouldn't complain about more time in the yellow jersey.

A pity Williams was caught early on Izoard! That looked like our shot for the KoM jersey. Brave try, and very cool to see him active. Surely his energy must be drained for any future attempts, but super happy with how active Williams have been. No stage podiums, but a lot of action and great racing to put our team in the mix. May it long continue!
The next stage also looks kind of good for a breakaway, but seeing his GC position, I doubt he can join another time. And then it's finally a rest day for him, with what could be a punchy sprinter stage, or another breakaway stage. |

Was a bit pissed at Leemreize trying to go into the break on Stage 14 and losing time. Apparently it was all for a greater purpose Can't complain about the race he's having. Haig still has a lot to do to make this race any good from his perspective! Or any race all season for that matter...
Thanks for the reports!

Truly truly sicko shit to have our GC leader, 6th in the classification, put in a mid-stage attack on one of the most important mountain stages to launch one of his teammates into the hunt for the lower KoM placings. Glad it didn't hurt us more than it did there on such a massive stage.
Congrats knockout, cool stage win and a great way to claim yellow and hard to see it being given up now. But who knows, this has been a twisty Tour so far and a wee way to go yet

finally... was hard to stay positive the last week but im glad we finally won a stage.
Gotta say the next two stages scare me. The long flat part at the top when domestiques might be dropped already and the wind sector might be dangerous when the favourites force the yellow jersey to work. Fingers crossed we can still control things. Ideally Foss or Eenkhoorn is still with Lecuinier at that point...

Some really disappointing stages after that amazing first half of the race. Formolo finally tries to go for the breakaway, but it's in the stage where it's the favorited who fight for the win. And it completely ruins his GC as well. I wasn't expecting him to be in the top 10 here, but not down in 41st either.
Looks like the yellow jersey finally got on the right shoulders.

And another breakaway appearance Chapeau, Williams
Could be in with a minor shot at a KoM top 3 finish, but it feels like Evonik and the GC favourites might have a say there, as it feels like this was the moment PHL and his team take full control. Big congratulations on the win, knockout! |

It was a valiant fight! Wearing the yellow jersey for three stages is both a huge points boon and more importantly a memorable moment in our team history that won't be forgotten. I think my prediction of the team and Skjelmose going too deep to control everything ultimately played out. Grregaard and Eg have cratered down the standings and Skjelmose was really shot at the end there, having tried to follow the attacks from guys much stronger than him. Our team classification rankings and GC depth are toast. But again, 3 days in yellow are something I'll never forget, and it also stopped Skjelmose from being forgotten by the AI. So I'll take it for sure.
Happy for Skjelmose to go back to white for now, with the rightful yellow jersey at the front. I just hope we can return to riding well in the peloton and don't tumble down without trying entirely. The next few mountain stage will be very tough and Skjelmose's recovery isn't great. But they're also relatively short which helps his stamina issue. I think we have to hope he doesn't get entirely swamped by breakaways and can sneak back into the top 10 in the TT.
Thanks for the report!

Haig finally seems to be finding his legs for the past couple of stages. Hope i dont jinx this now! Still some way to go for him to consider this a successful GT for us. Hoping Leemreize has the legs to go for more breakaway/KOM runs in the remaining stages.
Congrats to knockout on the long overdue win Thanks for the report!
