Will argue Valter was the second strongest there, just a pity him and not MAL attacked solo just when Valter did. If it was the other way around, I wonder what could have been... Pfft

5th is a solid result, though, and happy about it! Smile Good thing he now has more than two months to figure out how to make his Vuelta participation worth it against Herklotz and Areruya (and everyone else deciding to line up) Grin Pfft

11th and 15th is not great, but in this field it's actually an acceptable result for us. Congrats knockout!

24th with Edmondson is not exactly the best. Kelderman just could not do it for us. A pretty pathetic haul of points for us with only 8. Not a great day and not a great start to the month.

Was expecting Vansevenant to struggle a bit here against stronger climbers though 8th and earlier making the race winning selection shows, it was worth it. On a good day he might hang on for more but even on bad/normal days, he usually delivers.

The team around him maybe did too much work themselves and could have done better themselves otherwise. Might have been better to let the other teams work instead but it shows their trust in Vansevenant and obviously helps him positioning.

Thanks for the report and congrats to the winner and big scorers.

It's a good result based on how Hirschi's season has gone, but it's probably not going to give us a chance at staying PCT
