Hi guys,

I have a rather embarrassing question.

I'm playing Cycling Manager 4 btw.

What is the difference between a hill and a mountain? Grin

Like what is the cut-off point? Is it the lenght of the climb or the altitude? How can I decide before a race if I need a rider good at hills or mountains...

Not sure if it was like this back in Cym 4, but in the old PCM's each stage had a "mountain/hill ratio" set in the database. If the scale was at .5, both stats weighted equally, and if it leans one way or the other, one stat would predominate.

Generally, mtn/hill ratio would be set on based on the length of the climbs that would decide the race. Shorter climbs tend towards hill, longer towards mountain. Mont Ventoux would be 100% mtn and something like Amstel Gold Race would be 100% hill.
