Well that’s disappointing. Why do we struggle to hold on in a sprint stage. Carlos has done this for a second time in 2 stage races now. Happened in a tiny hill stage in California. He has a lot of work to do now!
Good to see Marryatt on the attack and in the KOM jersey! Happy to see that!

More pointless GC splits on a silly flat day, commiserations to those who lost out this time.
Lucky for us Skjelmose was still there and ends up taking white, but I don't like that he was outside the top 50 there and didn't seem super attentive to the front of the race either. I'm not sure the game sees him as a true GC rider still, despite now being top 5. Maybe if he can survive one more day, the mountains will sort things out enough to keep him from at at least giving up completely.

Schlegel made the split, but no worries. He'll find a way to lose 30 odd minutes in the remaining stages.

Nice sprint there from Zijlaard, he did a good job of finding the right wheel when we don't have the riders to create a train for him

Decent sprint from Alben. Stupid time loss for Hayter. Makes the U25 push very hard now.
Congrats to Beagle and thanks for the report!

Underwhelming sprint from Sanikwathi. Only 12th despite a leadout and "winning" the first intermediate sprint from the peloton. I guess Sureda was better suited for the stage (9th), but the AI didn't see it that way and/or our leadout train failed.
At least Choi made the split.

Looks like Koumpetsos had decent speed, but got blocked a bit there in the final - Also perhaps picked a wrong train. Still nice to see him atleast giving it a go.

Not really gaining anything with that KoM-sprint and breakaway appearance, but the sponsors love to see it! Thanks for posting, whitejersey!

Happy to come out with a top 10 and Skjelmose unscathed.

Two good sprints from Van Popple putting him into the Points lead for a few days until some climber takes the jersey away on the last few stages!

5th from Sanikwathi is decent, but I still think we could have done better given the (lack of) competition and the support available for him.

Zariff gets his win at last! Hopefully we can get some minor points out of the points classification from here, just have to hope the whole team don't drop with him tomorrow. |
