The gap went up to around 8’30 but is now already slowly going down with still 160 km to go.

Halfway through the race the gap is at 5 minutes. There are some small bumps on the way, but with the sheer fire power of sprinters at the start it’s hard to see any other result here but a bunch sprint.

He tried it again immediately but didn’t get a gap.
