The race seems to have split into two videos - the first for the setup all the way through 5km. The second seems to have just the finish. We'll try to get these into a Youtube upload in the next day or two - but it might stay in the two segments.
Given the race replay, this report will have minimal screengrabs.
The favorites for the race are shown here, with an interesting highlight of Kemboi and not Cullaigh for the boys from cycleYorkshire.
A group of four riders easily find their way to the front of the field without too much trouble while teams do compete behind. They are Froideaux, Blum, Salzmann, Spengler. They’ve got a lead of 6:30 about 140km to go and that’s the maximum they’ve seen. 5:00 min for the same group with 100km to go.
At 40km to go, the break has only 1:40 and looks to be getting caught.
30km to go and the peloton is still going smoothly, no major speed increases. Only 75 seconds between the leaders and the breakaway.
A look from above shows the team that have really focused on being near the front with 25km to go.
No more breakaway at 12km to go as the sprinters get in line.
Soren Kragh Andersen and Artem Nych are both out in front with 5km to go. The Aker-MOT rider the first to make the attack.
The breakaway looks strong with 3 new riders with 2.5km to go but Andersen is slowing down.
