How the fuck is De Bie as number 2 listed but loses 7 min again? He is clearly seen as a normal domestique rider instead of the potential GC contender that he should be. PCM 2024 is so flawed, it's incredible...

Good results from Zariff, but a disappointing performance from vdP and Burke - was hoping for 10th-15th from one and 20th-25th from the other so work to do on the final stage. Hoping one goes in the break as the KoM points are likely to be more than any GC scoring here. |

Better stuff from Sosa today, Gesbert a little too much for him but shows this stage is to his liking following up last year's win with a second. 8th in the GC is better but not great but hard to overcome yesterday's bad day.
Would be surprised if tomorrow is as selective so probably minor moves based on time bonuses in the GC but one of those minor moves could dictate the winner.
Conrats to Sykkel. Gesbert has morphed into a killer in this version. Sympathies to Blasing, seems similar riders to De Bie are doing fine.

Thanks for the congrats, guys!
Perfectly played by Gesbert and nice to see that he can win against tougher opponents than in Eritrea as well! Looking forward to the last stage. The longer stage and longer climb should suit him well, but if we can’t shake off Lutsenko before it flattens out in the end, it will be difficult to beat him in a sprint. Fingers crossed!

Think this is where quadsas reminds us about his "3" prediction again with another strong Lutsenko result. May not be 3 stage wins, but might be the GC!
This stage had way more brutal climbing than I thought it would from viewing the profile, but was exciting to see such a small group to the line. Surely lots to play for in the final stage!

Tight fight between Gesbert and Lutsenko coming up!
Looks like seancoll says that this stage was way more brutal than I expected, great stage and great reporting! Exciting to follow a real puncheur fight to the finish. Gesbert with his stamina really fits these brutal stages better than most and should maybe be favorite going into the last stage?
Lagane the big looser here? Loosing 6 minutes after being well placed before the stage

Yeah somehow my team sees my sprinter Grosu as teamleader GC wise I think. Therefore De Bie, even listed as #2 favourite for the stage, races as a domestique for Grosu, who finishes ahead of him in each punchy stage. Ridiculous.

Thanks Abhi for the reports!
Some good performances from Min. A good choice to bring him next to Vakoc. Hopefully he can hold on to the podium!

Surprised and delighted Masnada managed a result when not a favourite. A top 10 GC result would be fantastic (as in like a fantasy).
Kraftwerk are packing in the depth scoring as well, leading the teams by 4 mins with 4 riders in the top 25 GC is far better than expected, but then with PCM 2024 I am not sure you can have expectations.
Thanks for the reports Abhi.

Definitely will take a 6th from Bettiol, very pleasantly surprised he hung around in the top tier of riders this race. For a budget hills leader, he’s been alright actually. Lyu picking up some bonus points is great as well.
Thanks for the reports Abhi and congrats to the winner!

Congrats to marco for the final stage 1-2 as well as Sykkel for the GC win! APPs stage podium is nice but we've rather had him in a better GC position. But if that's the kind of result we get in our worse races we'll happily take it.
And finally thanks to Abhi for all the fine reports!

Very nice result for Marco! Thanks for the report and congrats to sykkel on a really nice result for Gesbert who really has benefitted from the engine change this year it would seem!
For our personal outlook we land a little under 10 pprd if I did my math correctly which is honestly quite ok and nice to see signs of life from Quita with a top 10 GC placement!

Unfortunate not to hold onto yellow, but 2nd and green is a great result and some extra points from Robov too. Encouraging race

Well, I'm lost for words on that final stage. Where had this spark been in the previous stages. Grande Rubio
1-2 on the final stage, 2nd in the KoM are all great results, even though the final GC is disappointing.
Thanks for the reports Abhi, congrats Sykkel on the GC!

Hoelgaard holds on to his 12th place, so at least 18 points to travel home with.
Congrats marco and sykkelfreak with great wins!
And thank you for the amazing reports Abhishek! |

Well not the total disaster I feared a few days ago. but 8th on the GC isn't great for our top leader, his total lack of sprinting ability getting us here. Looks more like a target for Simmons next year. Somewhat dampens our month after great races in Colombia and Norway.
Congrats to Sykkel on a another win and to Minions for the double burst at the end. Also pretty impressive stuff from Kraftwerk to win the teams by that much in C1.
Thanks to Abhi for the reports but after this and Eritrea I think better that you stay away from McCormick races.

Nothng to see here
Maybe Lafay would have been a better choice for this one, maybe not. I didn't have much hope for these C1 races anyway.
Congrats to Assa Abloy, and also nice to see Rubio take the last one, even though he didn't ever race in our coulours, he has been at Euskotren once.
Thanks Abi for the reports! Very nice to read.
