2008 Tour suspicious samples to be retested
issoisso
With the new CERA test that's been around only since April this year (notice how the number of positives went up tremendously since then).

The samples in question are a large number of samples that, when tested for CERA last year, showed suspicious values, but not enough to warrant a positive.

In September they're scheduled for retesting with the brand new EPO detection methods.

Expect positives.

At the time of the first re-testing, several news media reported the same unofficial information, which was quite a "coincidence". At the time they reported 2 AG2R, 2 Gerolsteiner (Kohl and Schumacher), 2 Scott (Piepoli and Riccò), 2 Columbia, 5 CSC and few random unnamed other teams with 1 rider a piece.

If the five CSC saxo bank is true that would be a hard for cycling. And for Damsgaard, Mr doctor clean.

*cough*Sastre*cough*

In all seriousness, I kind of wish they would just let it go. Did anybody else notice the clean Tour this year? The image of cycling is just starting to become clean again, why bring back these demons. But, I see why we would want to punish the riders who did wrong. Now that I've argued myself, I don't know quite where I stand

ruben
I also despise the AFLD btw. There is no one caught this tour, which brings them to the conclusion: "The riders must be using a new drug"

instead of "the riders are finally clean".

These AFLD idiots just do their work to have someone caught and then can boast about it. I despise them. They are NOT interested in a clean sport, they hope riders keep doping so they can keep catching them

schleck93
Actually the new CERA test takes longer to do, thats why Di Lucas test is finished testing now, so we'll properbly not see any positive tests of this tour untill the vuelta Pfft

Well, to draw the conlusion that "the riders are finally clean" just because no one got caught would also be rather naive. If we ever gonna get a clean sport we need doping hunters like AFLD.

Uhm, Ruben, I applaud AFLD for having that attitude. Had they had your attitude, we could just as well stop testing at all and return to the 90's.
