We have a very interesting race set up for us here, with a likely duel between Rossi and the Sauber team around Giulietti.
After the second of four cobble sectors, we have exactly the four riders at the front that we would expect. Putti then launches a smart attack that puts all the pressure to chase on Rossi.
But Rossi does not like that and instead just attacks and blows right past Putti!
The four reunited just before the third sector, where Rossi looked like the strongest rider. But Giulietti and Menicucci hang on for now.
And then disaster strikes on the final stretch - Rossi punctures! He can only look on as Giulietti rides away from him.
Looking at how Giulietti kept on increasing his lead even after Rossi was back on his bike, it’s not hard to imagine that he would’ve won this race even without the puncture. But that certainly made it easier for him. The Championship goes to Sauber!

Is there any world in which Noia does not win this race?
To make it short: No. Maccagli rides a solid race, but Noia already has him in sight as he nears the finish line and wins handily by almost a minute.
