Fantasy Betting News #4
Fantasy Betting

We told you last week the third leg of the Superprestige in Gavere would not be really hard... but it really was :P Profiting of the bad fall by Niels Albert in the reconnaisance before the race and various errors and troubles by Lars Boom during the race, Sven Nys claimed another win in this season in a magnificent scenery. Renowned shirtmaker tourdedoping took the lead of the Fantasy Betting rankings by putting all his money on Baal-based rider's win. On the other hand, Viborg FF abused from very agressive betting tactics and got down to the bottom of the standings by losing more than 1800 € in a risky - nonsense bet towards Lars Boom. In the first places of the classification, Stairs didn't move out too much money, while lagetcher, t-baum and tate kept their winnings comfortable until a good chance comes for them.

We'll take sort of a rest week starting from this Sunday... but don't miss the action! China's Tour of Hainan is still to conclude, and bets for the final stages can be placed everyday till Wednesday 19th, 04.00 CET. Winnings for the GC will be sent as soon as final standings are known. In the track, we'll be taking contact with the most prestigious 6-Day event in Ghent - place your bets for the final classification, as well as the provisional standings halfway the event! Finally, we'll have a couple of races in cyclocross: GvA trophy's Hasselt in Saturday, followed by SP's Hamme-Zogge in Sunday.

Greetz!

Edit 17/11 17:11 CET: I forgot to say that the Round 2 of the UCI Track World Cup series are hosted in Melbourne, Australia, from Thursday from Saturday.

Server Maintenance
News

Hello,

Due to a server maintenance, some IP addresses were routed the wrong way (so to speak), meaning that they'd get a server timeout and never actually access the site. This problem has now been fixed, meaning that everyone can now again access the site. Thanks to Ruben and Christi / Magenta for the tip.

Speaking of site maintenance, we're going to move our domain one of the coming days. When we ended the deal with our previous host, we kept the domain in their company, but since it's now running out we'll have to move it. This will be done within the next couple of days (max 5 days) and will probably result in some down time. However, we've done everything possible so far to avoid it.
I can't say anything about when this will take place for real, but you'll probably notice when you can't access the site ;)

Sorry for any inconvenience caused by this.

Fantasy Betting News #3
Fantasy Betting

Denmark's Viborg FF has taken the leading spot at the Fantasy Betting standings by putting all his money on Lars Boom's magnificent victory over Belgian Niels Albert in the third race of the World Cup series in Pijnacker, Netherlands. The other results on cyclocross did not seem to give such winnings to our gamblers, as less than half the betters on Tijmen Eising's predictable victory in the Junior category were right, where almost all gamblers put their money on Philipp Walsleben to win, hours later, at the U23 race. This way, risks taken by former leader Andro haven't paid off as much as he wold have expected - he's now on the bottom of the ranks, earning around 110 PCM$, where Stairs, lagetcher, tate and CrueTrue are above 400 PCM$.

Activity around our Fantasy Betting next week will have the Tour of Hainan as main event to bet on - it's starting on Tuesday, and you can bet on the GC and the prologue favourites right now! We'll add stage pronostic every morning, where the deadlines to bet are set around 04.00 CET / 22.00 Eastern / 19.00 Western. Keep in mind that the 6 Days of Milan - led miracolously by Paolo Bettini and Joan Llaneras, after the Italian went injured in a fall on the second day - are still to finish and give winnings. Activity on 6-Day competitions won't restart until the Revolution #21 series are on the way (6 Days of Ghent start in November 18th). On the other side, bets for the Jaamarktcross in Niel will be sent shortly after this news article is published - remember it's the second round of the GvA trophy.

Greetz!

PCM.daily... at Cycling Quotient!
News

We've just been granted a place for PCM.daily inside the renowned website of Cycling Quotient. The CQ-ranking is a world ranking of professional road cyclists, based on their performances during the last 12 months. It can be seen as the non-official successor of the UCI-ranking which disappeared when the ProTour was introduced in 2005. The point scales used for the CQ-ranking are still based on the old UCI-ranking scales and follows the race categorisation as defined by the UCI.  Since its foundation in 2005 only some limited adjustments were done to the existing scales. After one and a half years, it has turned into the main reference for cycling results, with entries up-to-the-minute and lots of parallel activities, like transfers, historical research for years before the foundation of CQ, or parallel ranks for victories and team scores.

Click on the banner below to see our banner flashing around important companies on cycling. At least we can say now we're a little bit more important than ever, as we're near our birthday ;)

Fantasy Betting News #2
Fantasy Betting

Head-to-Head bets for the U23 Cyclocross European Championships proved to be critical for the provisional outcome of our Fantasy Betting standings. Denmark's Andro unificated leaderships for both PCMScandinavia and PCM.daily rankings by putting all his money on Joeri Adams's ranking over Jim Aernouts's, a tough competition since they finished one beside the other one! Winnings are already strong now - 10 gamblers went past the 400-point burden - but remember they won't be saved for 2009: we're resetting the ranks as of January 1st!

Remember there's still one bet set for this week to be solved, as the 6 Days of Dortmund are still on the way. For next week we're expecting to see two more 6-Day events, with the velodrome in Milan mainly getting routiers to make some cycling enjoyment in the capital city of Lombardy, as well as the 6 Days of Munich. Also we'll be expecting for the 2nd leg of the Cyclocross World Cup for Elite and U23 riders, with the first CdM muudy route in Pijnacker, perfectly set for the first 08-09 win from World Champion Lars Boom to come. And don't miss the last 2.1 event of 2008 to come on Asian soil - the Tour of Hainan will see the best teams from Far East starting in China. That will happen in November 11th, though.

Stay tuned, and don't forget to put your money in time! We're sure you'll enjoy this the most when next road season starts.
