A short interview with Oleg Tinkov 2011
Q: Maybe a rather rude question to start with, but nevertheless an important one in nowadays cycling: "What is the budget of Tinkoff Credit Systems - Rosneft and is the team (just like Tinkoff Credit Systems) Italian-based?"
A: "Are you sure your name isn't Adrea "Money Wolf" Tchmil... but on a more serious note, our budget this year will be € 3.250.000 and although you hear me say Euro this doesn't mean we will be based in Europe. Tinkoff Credit Systems - Rosneft will be Russian based, just like my first team in 2006."
Q: "The outfit looks like it is designed with a wink at Katusha, any comments on that?"
A: "Well, I build a team with the best structures in the world within 4 years time, which at the end became the Katusha team, stepped down and then it was ruined by people without knowledge, in two years time!
Now Katusha is gone, so I asked the designer (Will007) to design an outfit that a serious and solid Russian team deserves. I really like it, but it isn't based on revenge at all."
Q: "What are the goals for 2011?"
A: "Our sponsors have some goals, which we be announced during the upcoming Team Presentation, but my personal mission is to contribute to the long-term success of Tinkoff."
Q: "Ok, thank you for your time and we wish you a prosperous year!"
A: "Likewise."

Nice preview, but the 'About Tinkov' contradicts what actually happened in the management game i.e. Tinkoff winning the continental tour in 2008, promoting, but being replaced as a sponsor by Wikipedia

Duo, Dos, Due, Dois, Twee, Zwei, Two 2011
Today we celebrated our 7th victory (8th if you also count the Criterium USA victory by Kunshin) and it looks like the magic number is TWO! Let's hope the next TWO months (September and Oktober) will be as successful as the rest of the season, so stay tuned for exciting reports:
*TWO Championships ahead (Russian and World)
*TWO HC races in Oktober (Giro dell'Emilia and Japan Cup)
*Kunshin is currently number TWO in the Individual Rankings of the Criterium Series (TWO more Criterium races ahead - Belgium, September and the Championship in France, Oktober)

Yesterday the Russian Cycling Federation announced the selection of Russia for the World Championship, six riders of Tinkoff got a spot in the national team.
This year the World Championships will be held in Zagreb, Croatia - over a tough hilly route (287km), with uphill finish. Also the Individual and the Team Time Trial will be held in the surroundings of Zagreb - over a tough route, 57km long.
Favorites for the Road Race are Schleck (LUX), Schumacher (GER) and Cunego (ITA) but we have strong outsiders in our team with Trofimov, Efimkin and Kolobnev!
Ignatiev will face strong competition at the Individual Time Trial from Zabriskie (USA) and Cancellara (SWI).
The Netherlands seems to be the strongest team for the Team Time Trial but Russia has a good squad aswell.

Tinkoff's youngsters in the spotlights 2012
 Café de Colombia
Media sources suggest Café de Colombia would be more than willing to help in the development of Timofey Kritskiy. A year with the team would undoubtedly help him in developing into one of the top riders in the world.
Source: Fenian_1234
 Wiggle - San Pellegrino
Media sources suggest that Café de Colombia would be far from the best location for the development of Timofey Kritskiy. Rumours have even been heard that Wiggle - San Pellegrino were even considering a loan swap of one of their riders in exchange for Kritskiy's skills for a season.
Source: Rjc_43
 Pendleton's Twicer
There have been similar rumours swirling around about Pendleton's, suggesting that their manager is also the only one who is ever sober. It has been reported that they could offer a very good deal for Timofey Kritskiy and help to develop him.
Source: Wackojackohighcliffe
 Festina - Conec
Team Festina manager Andreas Jøhnke confirmed in the media earlier today, that Timofey Kritskiy was among the riders he was looking to attach on a loan spell.
Jøhnke confirmed that he would be using Kritskiy in two Grand Tours, including this years edition of the Tour de France. Kritskiy was apparently heard saying "I have a great amount of respect for Team Festina, and as my good friend Roman Maksimov experienced a great amount of trust, and progress at the team, I feel this could be the place for me, to get that extra notch I need to compete at the ultimate level."
Source: SotD
 Vesuvio-Accumalux
Rather than targeting one of Tinkoff's top riders in a blatant attempt to boost their own squad for a bargain rate, as some other ProTour manager appear to have done, Vesuvio-Accumalux would like to pass on our good-will to Denis Galimzyanov as he returns to the TCS Bank ranks after a year of great development in our ranks.
We would love to continue helping TCS Bank grow into a strong team, and acknowledge that a rider such as Timofey Kritskiy would be very useful in your promotion hopes and thus it would be unrealistic to expect you to loan him out without a good rider in return, as Wiggle have offered.
Instead it is Maxim Belkov who we are most interested in. I am sure Denis can highly recommend us to him, and we could guarantee maximising Maxim's skills and offering him the ride in at least one Grand Tour (just like Denis rode in the Tour de France last year) - and we hope that by making Maxim our priority, he will favour us on loan (should he be available to loan) rather than any other team who instead went straight for Kritskiy.

 Wikipedia
Meanwhile, rumors are swirling that Ivan Kovalev is intrigued by the Tinkoff project. He is said to be looking to explore his options this transfer period, with a possible loan swap.
